Monday Morning Music
Some beautiful music to start the week…
***
“Reba” 5.16.95 – Lowell, MA
This haunting and exploratory version is one of “Reba’s” most impressive outings.
***
“Slave” 11.29.95 II – Nashville, TN (w/ Bela Fleck)
A gorgeous collaboration with Bela Fleck on banjo.
***
“Harry Hood” 11.16.96 II – Omaha, NE
A version made famous by “the note” that Trey holds for almost four minutes, this “Harry Hood” showcases a band locked, loaded and inspired during November of ’96.
***
“Sneakin’ Sally” 8.8.98 I – Merriweather Post
Some swanky funk from the first set of Merriweather ’98.

“YEM” 11.14.98 II – Cincinatti, OH
In this relative dark-horse from Fall ’98, Trey loops a rhythm pattern and narrates an expressive solo atop his own – and Phish’s – dynamic groove.

happy monday yall! first again?
I was not aware of “the note”. Gotta hear that…
ISO one Halloween extra…in the door (GA pref)
…..may have a 29th to trade..
please let me know if you can help.
That Reba sounds like a SBD source, but the spreadsheet doesn’t list one for that date. Is this a From The Archives release?
Morning BB
Reba stopped for me at around 12 minutes, dang.
That MSG pic is pretty gnarly brah
mornin’ all
hope everybody had a good weekend. nothing like a little five-pack to get the week started. kinda fits in nicely with the rainy weather here today. finally feels like Fall again which means new phish is only a couple of weeks away!
would love to hear some of the songs from the Voters for Choice show come back to life in 3.0 and beyond. Can we renew the requests for Spock’s Brain? Heck, I’ll even take Eno’s I’ll Come Running. That was a nice one time cover.
I was thinking the same thing @BTB
That Slave with Bela is a personal favorite. Great picks this morning Miner!
Go Bears!
@ BTB & Mitch
I definitely share those thoughts that the MSG pic is sweet.
Makes me look forward to my seats at the Boardwalk Hall which while reserved sit straight back from the stage at probably a similar vantage point.
Kp, I can’t fing wait for season 2, did you see Kenny with corn rows!?
@KP
Yeah, you gotta check out that Hood.
Might be the best ever!
Might be my favorite version of my my favorite song in the world
KP: your show was hilarious last night.
was at that 8.8.98 show. sabotage
I like the way this week is starting
morning all! of all the days to forget the headphones… I’ll just have to imagine the bliss of this Reba to get me out of this morning’s rain funk.
The Lowell Reba! My first show. My hometown, senior year in high school and worked at the venue. Great time.
What up, BB. Long time, no see…
Damn that Reba is sick. Trey was just on another level back in ’95. Summer/Winter ’95 might be the peak of his chops.
Thanks for the tunes, Miner!
11-14-98 is one of the most underrated ever…the one that started it all for the Crown!
check out that first set tweezer–>moma for some thickness
TYMM
Spinning a little Eno/Fripp this morning. Perfect rainy-day ambient soup.
DC ’10 night one 24bit sbd.
Now up @ d e e e m o n
an ironic ending
i haven’t been around so i apologize if i’m rehashing this, but for those Modern Family viewers, did you hear that Phish reference? That was classic!!
@ Mikey
Rough football day for your Bills and Chargers A?
Sorry for the repost from last night (and thanks Duke for your reply), but I wonder how other people have dealt with this:
Quick question: I think my wife’s name is secondary on my credit card. If I make an order with that card, and then she puts in an order with a different card in her name (without my name anywhere on it), could we get DQ’d because her name is also attached to card #1?
Chargers love to start slow and you just aren’t getting the fact that I hate the f’n Bills are you. Now I may have to root against your shitty Bears. Unfortunately I need them to score and not let GB score so I can hold off Robear.
