    Ghost>Mango was slick as hell.
The second set was pulled (somehow) straight from 1994.
I will say this morning :::subject to change::: that this was the most enjoyable show I’ve ever seen.
    Get this for Light alone.
Forget the Llama Reprise, that’s just butter.
One of those shows where you could leave at setbreak and be happy?
This is truly one of those.

Just listened to the Week on Hood Stream

This was a smoker! Taboot Taboot

  3. neemor Says:

Soundcheck is unconfirmed on the net, but I heard the WOTC and was ready for her to put up somewhere.
Everything about this show is extremely well-played, continuing the trend of Fall 2010….
Absolute bliss this morning, despite the four hours of sleep!

  4. lumpyhead Says:

was miner diggin the light jam?

Now that’s a setlist that looks good on paper. A neemor endorsement? Oh yeah. Good sign they’re cranking it up for AC.

FYI, New Hampshire is the granite state.

    Have great day peeps!

  6. gavinsdad Says:

neemor – are you pulling the trigger on AC? feel like you’d be able to sort out fri and sat tix pretty easily, and sunday in a neemor-like way.

just figured out that Frankie is gonna be down too. pretty nice crew starting to take shape.

  7. gavinsdad Says:

^and it’s a weekend after all, with a what, 4 hr drive from your neck?

  8. jdub Says:

Alright Neemor! Great to hear you thoroughly enjoyed yourself, isn’t that what this is all about. First set sounds smoking on a relaxed, early morning run through.

  9. jdub Says:

After a run of highly unpredictable shows with tons of crisp playing the band has us right there want us.

AC is gonna be a blast for all you guys!

  10. jdub Says:

^edit: right where they want us. Another cup of coffee seems to be in order.

    Have a great day folks!

After Sunday night > Monday morning work 3 hours from Amherst I was pretty nervous about another show > work 2.5 hours away from show the next morning. This time I didn’t even have trouble staying awake on the drive home.

After Midnight????? Ok. First set was great; like plord posted 45ish gap/song, most recently played was Curtain (With). Wow. Loved seeing the boys discuss so much between songs, knew they were feeling it.

Before Access Me (I think it was) Trey took a couple minutes to just look at the lyrics at his feet and strum the song to himself..straight up relearned it on stage in front of our eyes. All of these Dreams was beautiful. The With jam is my favorite portion of Phish music, first time seeing that. Such a surprise again this tour after they played it in SC, figured I’d still be chasing that one. In a Willowed moment it brought tears to the eyes. Also was chasing Ocean and got that.

Set II was great, Light jam got a really sweet groove going. I had to laugh when I looked at song times this morning, it felt like they were just up there jamming for ever with no thoughts of ending it. After Light > Mike’s I noticed how tired I was from dancing so hard, then I kept dancing.

Simple had a nice ambient section at the end, kinda lopped off for Makisupa, but it was beautiful. Wedge, another one I was chasing and got, figured it would be a bit longer until I heard one of those.

GHOST was great, huge peaky jam, then into a totally unexpected beautiful ambient segment into Mango. Slick segue, awesome, awesome jam. Sorry that it wasn’t the Amherst Ghost Willowed 😉

During the end of Mango Trey talked to Mike then Page, then Mike tried to tell Phish what was coming up next, but Fish was so blissed he didn’t even notice Mike standing right next to him, so Mike started pounding some sick bass lines away in the last minute or so of Mango..probably can hear it in the recordings. Finally Fish looked over and got the memo, but Mike decided to just stay there and fill the pocket with Fish..really cool moment, glad I caught that.

Weekapaug was awesome..thought we’d get an After Midnight Reprise but was more then ok with what went down at the end of that set. Ghostprise, some other stuff probably?, Llama.

Had to finally sit down when Show of Life started up and just reflect on all that had just happened. Another teary eyed moment for me. “I’d like to take this time to thank you all” lyrics was huge..the crowd gave the band an UNREAL ovation after set II. Then at the end of the song Trey actually did step up to the mic and thank everybody.

I had so much fun last night. I hate to say that’s the best show I’ve caught so soon after it ended, but the memories from that one are gonna last a long, long time.

So very excited I’m doing AC.

  15. gavinsdad Says:

always dig the wedge. little bummed i missed it. those lyrics always make me smile for some reason.

prepare for a non traditional tune or two to get “the treatment” in AC. the big boys are all in play but they just played their ghost card. t

  16. Foul_Domain Says:

    Another beautiful ‘With’

  17. rivertrance Says:

Vegas Undermind hopefully right around the corner

that and Waves would be my 2 were the fuck have you been requests

also hold a liking for TMWSIY > Avenu

  18. phoammhead Says:

i’m hoping that ghost last night was the warmup for this weekend – one can only hope . . .

  19. punkmug Says:

Holy LORD JEBUS… Light is something else. They are really feeling that song right now. Been loving the direction it has been going this tour.

  20. rivertrance Says:

There will be another Ghost in AC

    that is a given

  21. phoammhead Says:

    ghost > light, that is

  22. jdub Says:

Light will definitely drop again this weekend, maybe Ghost. They set it up perfectly by doing a bustout show of sorts leaving just about everything on the table.

About to dive into set 2 while I make some sawdust.

  23. Dublin97 Says:

    Incredible show. Got the Ghost!

As others have said, “With” was worth the ticket price alone.

Sound got much louder for the second set – and to me had a very dark vibe. Need to relisten. I always forget too how HEAVY Ocean is.

  24. BTB Says:

After Midnight might be one of the best oeners you could possibly ask for

  25. tela'smuff Says:

Jtran – thanks for sharing that. sounds like me after SC2. i’m into Alumni right now and this set is laid back and FUN. your words put some energy into my day. thanks!
