and AW i’m sorry i pretty much stole your style of posting

    it’s just so irresistibly free-form

  2. gavinsdad Says:

interested to hear your read on the 10/29 Rift Adubs….seems like the tightest of 3.0 for sure. little bits of pop that first set 10/29…light up…timber…moma cities 46. i was just excited to knock some rust off. sound on the floor wasn’t crispy yet either…it got much better.

  3. butter Says:

that’s funny, i meant “so many nuggets in AC” as in great segments of music since you were respinning it

but it very much applies to the way you interpreted it, and makes total sense with the vap comment before it

  4. parallaxogram Says:

As a lurker, it is cool to see that everyone thinks the show they were at was (possibly) “best.” Sign of a good tour.
Thanks to the BBers who helped people out with the streams on couch tour. Fun stuff for those who can’t make it.

  5. butterflyeffect Says:

every show i’m at is the best of tour!!!!!!!

    except for coventry.

  6. gavinsdad Says:

oh yeah…regardless of anyones opinion of too little or too much Zep on 10/30….i dare anyone on here to tell me that that segue from CDT into Whole Lotta wasn’t fucking flawless…it was easy going back out to CDT cause the band was juiced but man that is a seamless tranny into Whole Lotta. +2 or +3 for that. i loved that shit.

  7. butter Says:

second that GD, very organic moment

  8. gavinsdad Says:

@parallaxo: that’s not typically my style. AC was fun as shit and I attended all 3 but i don’t have em way up on a pedestal. I didn’t get to any other Fall and some of those shows get the blue ribbon well before AC. AC was just so fucking fun and energetic and powerful.

  9. butterflyeffect Says:

does anyone remember the frightening tree below the left of the coventry lawn where a swarm of spunions shat and pissed exposed in the black and dim yellow light?

  10. lumpyhead Says:

    hey freinds…Gotta question…

could anybody point me in the direction of a high quality download for 10/29 and or 10/30…

Already spent my limit on livephish….blew my load on broomfield, that’s for sure.

  11. lumpyhead Says:

I was at SC2 and it was the best show of the tour.

    …cept for utica.

  12. albert walker Says:

AC was all about the jams. maybe there wasn’t a set with complete perfect flow

    but

    Cities
    Stash
CDT > WHole Lotta Love > CDT
    Sand
    Carini
    Jibboo
    2001
    Bowie
    Undermind
    Wolfman’s

more than enough meat to fill my jam chasin jones

they might not be 20 minutes but some scorching jams out there

  13. lumpyhead Says:

I know this horse has been beaten but….holy shit the AC Stash.

  14. SillyWilly Says:

AW, those HD Flacs sound nice, huh?

I could lose a lot of money buying those.

  15. P.S.H.S Says:

H2O makes me stand on my tippeetoes for a moment just to hear the beauty of it, the so called calm before the weekastorm

Gdad, how many mikes is it for you now? A bazillion?

  16. parallaxogram Says:

I am not saying we should rate the shows, I only saw two shows and had a blast! I also loved hearing all the other shows and was excited with what I heard every single night. However, I like the fan ratings in the old Pharmer’s Almanac and sometimes like to listen that way (not at the show).

I personally loved SC2, and think that the second set is as good as any of tour. But I also think that Manch holds up really well on tape, as well as Augusta. And AC2 is fun for obvious reasons.

I dream about what could have been if the 2001/Tweez had come before Dirt and Fluff in Charleston. Seems like it would have been a different show.

Favorite jams were the C&P, Broom Ghost and Tweez, Augusta Reba, Providence R&R, and Utica Bowie and Antelope (combined jams of the tour?)

  17. parallaxogram Says:

Oh yeah, and I listened to the AC Stash again today while running. Absolutely wonderful. That’s all I need. Ever.

  18. Mr.Palmer Says:

Indoor Phish is where the jams be…..

on the money @ Adub. Not to mention all the great second tier jams.

    Light up
    46 Days
    Caspian, Corinna
    Tube
    Ghost
Wilson ( can’t believe i just typed that)

  19. butter Says:

that’s a good list AW, i just loved the AC run

time to grill burgers, for the fam and watch some football

    peace kids

  20. butter Says:

    good list Palmer

  21. albert walker Says:

yeah I don’t dig the YEM and FLuff so SC 2 is a step below my fav 2nd sets which were Providence, Utica, and Manchester

I loved the tweezer. my favorite part of the show besides the Sand which I always love. C&P didn’t do as much for me as others. a fairly straight up version.

a tight 2 set rocker but a little more contained creatively from the top tier 2nd sets of fall

a great 2 set show though. would have loved to catch it

  22. albert walker Says:

and yeah Ghost > Spooky is $$$$

yeah the energy at AC killed. just good time high energy tunes with a perfect halloween album and a bunch of peak 3.0 jamming thrown in.

    great fuckin run

  23. parallaxogram Says:

Every time I listen to the C&P I realize how much more is going on.
Especially after watching it from up close – there’s a good vid on youtube – while listening to a SBD.

But I agree, not a lot of jamming. Was not really excited to hear fluff in that spot, but as always, the arrival made it all better.

The Providence set is great, too. I have never seen Sanity, the placement was nice.

As I said initially, once you start talking about them, every show is great. 🙂

  24. Calamari Says:

“Fairly straight up version of Crosseyed”

    I lul’d.

  25. Mr.Palmer Says:
