Happy Holidays!

10.31.10 (Graham Lucas)

I’ll be taking some time off between now and Worcester. I’ll likely post some thoughts at some point, but probably not for a few of days. Happy Holidays to all!

In the meantime, enjoy these Worcester gems that just missed December!

I have a friend who is a priest who brought that up to me a few weeks ago. Wild, huh?

This story reminded me of the story of the werewolf. People in Hungary would work the Rye fields, and at night would see a werewolf, especially during the full moon. Essentially they were hallucinating as these people were in constant contact with the Rye Fungus; which as we know was synthesized into LSD.

So, since my mom, brother and I are going to Ohio tomorrow morning (to beat the storms/traffic), we celebrated Christmas tonight.

    I got:

Jack Kerouac – On The Road: The Original Scroll
    Tennessee Williams – Glass Menagerie
Kurt Vonnegut – The Sirens of Titan
Tom Robbins – Still Life With Woodpecker
    Jean Paul Sartre – Nausea
Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now: A Guide To Spiritual Enlightenment (thanks to recs from BB)
John Coltrane – The Complete Village Vanguard Recordings (!!!)
Eric Dolphy – Out To Lunch
    Tom Waits – Bone Machine

GREAT Christmas over here 😀 – really looking forward to the reading and listening

    Df you’ve got mail

  17. Tzara's Ghost Says:

That is awesome, BK! The ‘Trane collection is absolutely essential, and Out to Lunch is one of my all-timers. Bone Machine is dark stuff too, remember the first time I heard that when it came out, I was working at a record store in Seattle.

Anyway, just came on to wish everyone a Happy Holidays. This is pretty much what Christmas looks like at the Tzara’s house:

  18. jtran Says:

Thanks for the heads up Palmer. Us VT skiers hate those coastal tracking storms. Such a tease. And then I get to go drive right into it. Woo hoo

  19. angryjoggerz Says:

HappyHolidiaze everyone! My family just left our Chrimboeve dinner, was a smashing success, I am tired as hell, nerves frayed. Funny to be a grown man, got one present and probably dropped 1k on the entire shindig. Oh well, hope everyone enjoyed and all that. Not a christmas person at all, so happy to see it almost over.

I need to get a better copy of that one @aw. I got a JA Gibbs press that is beat to all hell. Such a good one, too. Pure rockers.
