  1. Matso Says:

Thank you Mr Miner. And thank you Mr McConnell for pushing the 12/31 Ghost towards that sublime jam. Goosebumps on the 8:30 to City Thameslink this morning.

    Have a great one BBers!

(No January blues when you’ve got a band like this one)

  2. Waputik Says:

Just got back to the Rockies after catching Woosta 1 and MSG 2 and 3. Great times! The best laid plans often fall apart and instead of catching Woosta 1, 2 and MSG 3, I got snowed out of Woosta 1 and went to NYE to make up for it. I was able to witness a phenomenal show with my wife for her first NYE show and even got the “Waste” I had hoped for in the third set after a ripping second set. I want to send a huge THANK YOU to “Joseph McQuade” if anyone knows him. He gave me a last-minute miracle ticket after I had been searching for face value tickets for months. Phish shows never fail to remind me of the capacity of the human heart. Along those lines, here are MP3 codes for NYE and 1/11 shows: 12/31=7225842282133585, 1/1=485447519869.

1st post…..longtime reader……….mr.minor, you rock….yeah backstage 400’s was smokin’ at msg….i caught 4 of 5, took the right show off….31st was epic… was the 1st….woosta 1 and 2 were not too far behind, from a get down and dirty dance party perspective. that hood is an all-timer…..several all timers for me in that unbelievable, storybook, run….keep it up phisherpeople….

  4. neemor Says:

    Good morning, blackboard…
    Good stuff Waputik.

Phish and crew should show Spiderman how to float performers over the crowd without hurting anyone.
    Just sayin’.

    Enjoy the fresh tunes.

  5. butterflyeffect Says:

    Mornin’ Neems. What’s good?

  6. ThePigSong Says:

    What up kids?

Last day of my vacation, I think I’ll spend the morning spinning Wooster highlights.

  7. nonoyolker Says:

Reality of work is really starting to set in. I feel like it’s October already and it’s only the third day back…

At least there is less of a ______ where my mind should be than on Monday. Pig, enjoy your last day. Savor it to the last drop.

Spun DCU 2 set II again last night – some nice flow there. Patient, relaxed, very mellow, and capped off by a out of the park Hood. I could picture the crowd getting a little tuckered around Frankie > Albuquerque, but they got rewarded in spades with the next jam

  8. ThePigSong Says:

also many thanks for the folks pimpin’ Can last night

I grabbed Tago Mago – bad. ass.

  9. seif Says:

this is from a WIDELY read blog/newsletter in the industry

  10. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

Don’t you get it? It’s about satiating the fans!

    great link @seif

  11. BTB Says:

Fishman’s face on the hot dog is priceless.

  12. BTB Says:

“In other words, if you’re a one hit wonder, someone in all the magazines but with no real fans, you’re fucked.”

    Well Said

  13. Luther T. Justice Says:

Nice link @seif, except for dissing my man Timberlake. Oh, wait. I thought I was on the Timberlake blog. Sorry.

  14. butterflyeffect Says:

Wait, this isn’t the Timberlake blog? That wasn’t him at MSG, with the red hair? My world is turning upside down.

  15. Litteringandd Says:

“Once again, NY Times, NY Post, Newsday, Star-Ledger & Daily News didn’t send music critics to cover #phish at MSG”

Read this somewhere can’t confirm if it true but it if it is, it’s very funny to me. They are in many ways still the biggest act that know one knows about. Pretty sure if Pearl Jam rocked the Garden for three days there would be reporters there

  16. Guyute711 Says:

Who is making fun of Justin Dancensing?

  17. seif Says:

my pleasure. he ocassionaly writes about phish. here are a couple of others:

if you go to one of those links and then seacrh “phish” at the top you can find all the times he has mentioned them. FYI – this guy literally used to do a print newsletter so he has been at it for a while. i have written to him a few times in regard to phish but he has never responded or printed me in his “mailbag” posts.

  18. marcoesq Says:

Nice pics! Looks like it was a great time there at MSG

  19. kayatosh Says:

morning, all. started the day here w/ miami (12.29.2009) tweezer w/ its infectious manteca groove jam, including some vocalization and space shots. juicy. had to check it out again after all of aw’s recent raving about it. clearly $$$.

  20. Mitch Says:

So the light jam is legit. Just listened back for the first time. Only thing to bitch about is length. Kinda like Telly tweezer. I like where their heads are at but someone got ADHD.

  21. Mitch Says:

But after 30 mins of jamming and the talkers I was around I’m not surprised they had to change it.

  22. kayatosh Says:

forgot about this ambient, slow, syrupy psychedelic last few minutes of miami tweezer. wow!

going to listen to the 3.0 heavy hitters today. and this one is tops.

  23. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    the old man knooooooooooowws
    very well

  24. Jtran Says:

I did a listen back to 09 highlights a couple weeks ago. There’s some really great ones that seem to get glossed over with all the great music recently.

  25. kayatosh Says:

    next up 10.19.2010 reba
