If they kept peaking I would have sharted (sp?) myself.

Don’t want to ride home to CT. on the train with that in your pants

  2. neemor Says:

joe, it might be helpful to go to an Al-Anon meeting to help grasp some of what she’s facing, too.
Patience and understanding go a long way.

  3. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

willowed’s son will definitely be rockin’ the flat brim and will be chasing open jams and getting down to the groovefests like 2001
your older daughter will be writing down setlists and chasing bustouts
your younger daughter will probably disappear onto tour and sling grilled cheeses for a few years. she’s definitely the one you need to watch out for!

  4. Mr. Completely Says:

    extremely, extremely well said @neemor

particularly about the frozen development, and the realization that some broken things can’t be fixed

I think that latter point is part of why some people get stuck looking backwards. they can’t accept that part of it

  5. neemor Says:

On the ride home, six rows in front of me, some chick did shart herself. And urinate.
I think I mentioned it before.
Spent the rest of the ride in the bathroom.
    Mike loosened her innards.

  6. neemor Says:

Life is just a bundle of joy.

  7. willowed Says:

That’s when you pounce Neemor. You could have taken her home.

  8. neemor Says:

    LLFA, willowed.

    Who says I didn’t?

  9. joe Says:

I’ve been a few times Neemor, but the “higher-power” thing kind of turns me off. Plus I was thinking I wanted to punch most of the people in the face for whinning/rambling (and I’m a pacifist mostly) or checking out the vulnerable ladies and I really didn’t get much out of it. I’m not really one for groups like that, unless it’s a random internet forum that talks about a rock band. then I’m all for it.

  10. Mr. Completely Says:

higher power thing is a tough one for a lot of people to swallow @joe

  11. neemor Says:

I’m trying to shift back to orange Trey (post tour).
    Have I tranformed?

  12. willowed Says:

    Ha ha

TIII…you are dead on with that
My son will be spinning records and holding trance parties.
My Oldest daughter will borrow “you know who’s” cape and start taking stats.
My youngest will get lost (in a good way) on tour and end up married to Mr. C’s son living off the land in Oregon at some comune.

  13. willowed Says:

    yes neemor

dang. the gym awaits. time to get my huff and puff on.

  16. butterflyeffect Says:

random internet forum that talks about a rock band that happens to be Phish

    even better

  17. Mr. Completely Says:

damn if my boy will end up on a commune

I’ve spent my time in that rodeo….

ha I can’t see avatars at work anymore, I had to write a custom stylesheet to make this site look like something other than what it is for while I’m here, all the images are set to not display

  18. neemor Says:

    Understood, joe.
ALAnon is very different than AA, designed to help you figure out warning signs to watch for.
I get the higher power thing, for me it became the people in the room, humanity.
Nature eventually suplanted that theory and between the beauty of the things around me and my little girl, I have enough to keep me on the right track.
Just suggestions…either way, if that doesn’t work for you, listening to her issues and concerns ( a good idea in any relationship!) and never dismissing them is the best way to move forward.
She knows her mind best and your patience with her issues, however trivial they may seem to you, are very important to her.

You’ve got us for anything you need help with.

  19. Mr. Completely Says:

site’s not even black for me anymore

looks like one of our internal-server pages from a distance

  20. neemor Says:

    Mr. C.
In that case, your hair is a bird.

  21. Mr. Completely Says:

“I get the higher power thing, for me it became the people in the room, humanity.”

yep the higher power I beleive in is a thing that emerges from our collective unity

it comes from people, not before us, and is created by us and not the other way around

    kind of a non-secular humanism I guess

  22. Mitch Says:

Mr c, that’s freaking genius. Can you write one to make it look like a fruit knowledgebase? That’d be so stealth.

    Neemster, orange ftw. Always.

  23. plord Says:

You just gotta look at it from a particular point of view.

My buddy who is one drink away from liver failure finally got through a program by deciding that L was his higher power.

Worked for him juuuust fine, as the L had been telling him to sober up for years anyway.

  24. butterflyeffect Says:

    @C sounds like Vonnegut

  25. Mr. Completely Says:

I can write a custom stylesheet to make anything look like anything, man

    just takes a little time
