  2. jdub Says:

Way to bring shit back into the convo @Butter. Well done. We all think we know something but it ain’t nothing compared to the great oracle George W.

  3. purplehumpbackwhale Says:

Miner – what you think Wont happen in 2011. you did one for ’10, i liked it. hoped you wouldnt be right about Mike’s but you were. would you say the same for 2011? no mikes jam?

  4. willowed Says:

    one more Miner
has Little Feet influenced Trza’s new clean tone?

  5. Gavinsdad Says:

I just like to bring up dated Hoops references on a Phish board.

That forbins narrative about plump Forbin blocking out the sun almost made me sprout a cape! Well done Trey!

there is audacity, and wavosaur though I haven’t tried them. I think both of them are free and open source…

if you have a mac you can use garage band.

  7. Mr.Miner Says:

that a good one willowed the bowie thing…i could do that…thinking maybe less analytical?

  8. butter Says:

thanks Halcy, i was wondering about garage band since that what i have

  9. Gavinsdad Says:

I’d add Jibboo to Miners most improved list (Bowie, sand). Not at the same level but fun and thoughtful versions since Hershey. Can’t believe the progression from Toyo (Hershey my first of summer) thru 1/1/11. Balls!

  10. Mr.Miner Says:

    halcyon. you have mail. 🙂

Guess El Dude won’t be coming to my Phish/Yoga class !

    yoga to music rules.
    yoga to silence rules.
    get over all the rules.

  12. Mr.Miner Says:

I just listened to the Woosta Hood again (ok, I get it, I need to step away from it) when I was on the treadmill. there’s this part where Trza is plucking away and Mike stops playing his bass (he must be over at his stack switching something up) for about 10 seconds. then he comes over the top of Trza’s notes with this new bass lick. I got goose pimples and allmost fell off the track.

^ he comes back with the sickest licks…I had thought he had intentionally dropped out for some reason, but you are likely right….i sing the entire jam in my head daily…so great

  13. themanatee Says:

i beg to differ on the statement 99.9% of all yoga studios won’t play rock music.

happens all the time. doesn’t make anything less real.

  14. jdub Says:

@Miner, being your history guy and all I’d be curious of your spin on the early years, late ’80s moments that catalyzed the band. Not an urgent topic but could be filler between now and summer.

  15. EL Duderino Says:

You made it the argument with this comment right here!
“^you just say shit Dude, thats just some crap right there”-Butter

I backed up my opinion with experience and facts, you made it into something personal.

I get it your on the blue team. Your disdain is petty. my experience in music, life, guitar yoga, phish is just as valid and on point as most here.

    OK Butter?
You need to chill, and bitch over something real.

  16. halcyon Says:

Ironic that Plord mentioned that a serious yogi would not teach to a westerner / beginner (something like that) because we were talking about that today in my Yoga class. We discussed how we have so much going on in our lives, that even if we take 15 minutes out of the day to meditate, practice yoga it would be so beneficial. We then discussed how we can’t compare our practice to the serious yogi’s who devote their entire lives to yoga, meditation, and devoted spiritual practice.

    Anyways….back to cooking

late ’80s moments that catalyzed the band

^ you’re getting back before my time here 😉 , but I could probably do something in time…

  18. halcyon Says:

Miner….I will write back later on….

  19. butter Says:

Dude – i didn’t mean to insult your yoga practice or knowledge

i felt mine was insulted so i did the very unconscious human maneuver of trying to hurt you back

i def didn’t get into yoga to question other peoples beliefs or especially argue over it

also there has been many times when i’ve just bit my tongue with you so there was some built up tension

  20. willowed Says:

It’s magic to these ears Miner. It doesn’t get old.

I also love that new double/quad slap thing Gordo’s been doing. He does it numerosu times in the Hood. I will try to put it into words.

    Ba da da ding

it’s a rounder tone slap thing. I likey

  21. kayatosh Says:

yoga is personal. so we must each determine for ourselves what works and what doesn’t. a style or teacher (good/authentic or not by el dude’s definitions) that resonates with me, may not resonate with you. it’s individual. ultimately you try to learn/practice enough so that you can practice independently, as well as enjoy led classes.

  22. angryjoggerz Says:

    Namaste it out, fella’s

  23. jdub Says:

The only rule is it begins.

    Had to do it.

  24. Mr.Miner Says:

    ^ hahahahahhahahahaha
