    Silly ….lol@ obvious jam

I see what you did there

  2. DukeOfLizards Says:

I wish I could go back and hear the Island Tour for the first time again.

  3. lastwaltzer Says:

we could arrange for someone to drop a piano on your head, although we can’t guarantee this will only wipe the island tour from your memory or your ability to hold thoughts all together.

  4. fat bastard Says:

they threw down a party thats for sure

  5. kenny powers Says:

    hot damn

El Dude with the killer recommendations lately. that miles vid looks sick, pulling it now, thanks!

  6. kenny powers Says:

do you typically set a search for new video torrents from any and all artists at TTD or did you hear about that specifically? never would have thought to do a Miles search but that thing looks like gold

  7. SillyWilly Says:

    I try my hardest.

I think Duke deserves the props since he did come up with the obvious jam title

“Here is how this story goes: Decision goes to Illinois Supreme Court, where it is overturned. Meanwhile, Rahm gets hella free publicity and is also now seen as a sort of victory act, sweeps the polls. Mark it.”

Bet you a big fat nugget you’re wrong. IF, and thats a big IF, they hear the case, he loses. Ed Burkes wife is on the court, and he despises Rahm, along with 3 Republicans. Dude is toast for the 1st time in his life. Finally, the rules go against him. I’ll bet every candidate him and Obama threw off of a ballot on some technicality are throwin a party right now.

  9. DukeOfLizards Says:

    Two thoughts there:

    1) That assumes that I currently have the ability to hold thoughts all together. Jury’s out on that one.

    2) What would it be like to have a basic understanding of the Phish catalog, have said piano dropped on your head, start suffering from anterograde amnesia (can’t form new memories), then go on tour? So you’re familiar with the tunes, but every show is functionally your first show.

I can’t decide whether that would be sweet or not. See also, #1 above.

any leads on where said party may be? Sounds like a good time 🙂

  11. DukeOfLizards Says:

You took my brief idea and fleshed it out into a sweet passage.

    Very Phish 3.0 of you.

  12. SillyWilly Says:

    llfa, Duke.

that trader’s den site is sweet

I know it has been pimped on here to no end, but Jerry Band Let It Rock Volume II featuring Nicky Hopkins on keys, with Tutt and Kahn from November ’75 is exceptional. I mean just freaking awesome…better than a shit tent. In case anyone is unfamiliar:

  14. Robear Says:

thx. VW. snatching now. dug a quick listen of that ‘pretty things’ too. gotta’ check out again on the home system.

so, do you cats have to turn your bass down a bit when spinning the Nassau ‘Tweezer’? booooooom

  15. sumodie Says:

Best 10 of ’10 under 10 minutes sounds like a great topic, but also a little arbitrary…likely a fun discussion though

What about 10 highlights from a particular band member?

Most soulful and/or best vocal performances?

Still working my way thru kp’s Leaked SBD project, Alpine ’98 Tweezer>Fluff is pretty damned hot…also spun the first track, Dave’s Energy Guide from ’85, wow, I was just starting junior year of high school in galaxy far, far away from anything remotely phishy

Even Amazon sells that thingamabob we were all talking about earlier, didn’t realize it was so alien to some folk. If you think festivals were a challenge, imagine how a rock climber feels hanging 2000 feet off the ground.

  16. Gavinsdad Says:

Maybe thats the secret meaning behind “bivouac jaun” @sumo 😉

  17. Gavinsdad Says:

    Nite y’allz

  18. vegas wolfmans Says:

I usually rock Nassau tweez with headphones and try to only indulge once in a while. That has to be universally considered a top 5 alltime jam. Any song. Any era. The power cords he hits in the last 6ish minutes and the peak they provoke from the whole band is from another planet.

Glad to see 2.0 getting some love on the bb lately. Personally, I didn’t get back on the bus in 2003 (10 shows- only 5 in 2004), but am certainly able to recognize what an exciting time it was for wide open jamming. I’ve really enjoyed listening back over the past few years to some of the big daddies. I’m more than willing to forgive a few flubs in composed sections for a 30 minute risk-taking piper or twist in the 2nd.

  19. Henry Says:

Anyone have the Grateful Dead “So Many Roads” box set?

Can’t stop listening to Beautiful Jam. Very, very hot stuff. Hadn’t listened in a while.

  20. vegas wolfmans Says:

Henry- What’s your email? I got a link for you.

  21. Henry Says:

    h e n r y i l n i c k y @ g m a i l . c o m

  22. butter Says:

just starting ‘the leaked sbd tracks”

  23. vegas wolfmans Says:

You got mail, buddy. Technology kicks ass.

    g’night team.

  24. butter Says:

shitting in a bag is nothing new

bragging about it as an effective method…..well that’s what got all the attention, in a specific tent no less

  25. vegas wolfmans Says:

I’ve never shat in a bag before. Floor of a random tent? hell yes.

Butter- FWIW, I talked our instructor into spinning some ph during my yoga class and it’s now in the regular rotation. People all dig it (or they’re being polite). I win either way.
