Mike should pay you $15 bucks to see that shit

  2. Selector J Says:

Butter’s question about iTunes and lossless made me stumble upon this site:

Anyone heard of it before? Some good stuff on there available in lossless. Even a good amount of 24 bit stuff.

  3. neemor Says:

I’ll be taking a quick trip down memory lane and reading the reader reviews from those Trey shows last year.
    Good times.

TIII birthday almost makes it a must.

  4. mitch Says:

just call the 15 your cover charge at the bar. you could pay 5 bucks to see a journey cover band. i love bk bowl. more than just the band duder.

plus it has cheap h3tty beers (comparatively for nyc) and is attached at the hip to brooklyn brewery so the beers are fresh and tasty.

  5. neemor Says:

bouncin fan, I must’ve missed somthing.
Why is the DWD>Free reminding you of Summer ’95?

  6. mitch Says:

“but if you guys are down for it, the blackboard makes all the difference”

^this. 15 bucks to hang with peeps and pre-bane at my spot.

  7. jdub Says:

@Mitch, we ended up Brooklyn Bowl after the first MSG ’09 show. Nice venue to see Mike for sure. 15$ tickets? Not a bad deal at all considering. I kind of like the Trey/Mike offseason combo. Obviously Phish doing a spring jaunt trumps that by far, but still. I gotta a place to stay in NYC as well so who knows.

  8. mitch Says:

neem, hes prob listening to the sbd release KP just put out.

any show that is close enough to my house to go back during set break, puff and go back… i’m there.

  9. bouncin fan Says:

    6/25/95 DWD > Free

old school summer 95 free formed psychedelic mind fuck

would be cool to hear 3.0 Phish explore some freak out summer 95 territories in a jam. wonder how that would sound.

    such an amazing jam

I’m just fucking with you Mitch. I seriously don’t dig Mike shows though. I may prefer the Journey cover band.

  10. jdub Says:

15$ at a fun joint with good beers beats any bar band you stumble across. Different expectations but with the right company and venue a fun night for sure.

  11. bouncin fan Says:

Mike played a half block from my crib last time

Aqua said it was a good show

  12. neemor Says:

“would be cool to hear 3.0 Phish explore some freak out summer 95 territories in a jam. wonder how that would sound.”

    I’d wager “good”.

  13. sumodie Says:

    new phish remasters…

it seems like phish has made specific business arrangements with itunes, amazon, and any other stores carrying the remasters, as dry goods is not stocking them (beware the leg 1 CDs they do offer as there’s no indication of remastering)

if true, that blows that itunes doesn’t sell lossless (i rarely get anything there so I don’t know much about them). But iTunes will never sell music using the FLAC codec, rather it would have to be apple’s ALAC codec, which does support both 16bit and 24bit (so called HD)

Amazon sells the remastered CDs and mp3s (yuck)

  14. Selector J Says:

    $18 for A Love Supreme in 24/96.

  15. neemor Says:

Mike’s show from Toad’s last year was weird.
I didn’t dig the band at all…we’re spoiled by Mike’s usual guitarist.
Couple of neat moments, but the thing that makes Mike for me now is his power.
Doesn’t come through in a small venue.
Plus, some of the arrangements are weak…I disliked the ‘Cities’, for example.
But it is what it is.
Trey shows are far superior, IMO.

  16. mitch Says:

i know you dont AW. thats why i keep reminding you that a night out is a night out. if i put my 15 bucks to bk bowl at the start of the night, i may have some good background music.

just read your 2nd comment. half block from your spot? “stop it”

  17. neemor Says:

    “remastered CDs and mp3s (yuck)”

    We have gotten so spoiled!
I need to someday sit down and catch a glimpse of what you guys are dl’ing as lossless or FLAC.
Without having heard it, I can’t compare but it must be leaps and bounds better.
MP3’s work for this analog kid.

  18. mitch Says:

i was da-runk at mike and it was sept 08 pre-phish. so i guess with all that added together, it has a really shiny memory. may not have been as awesome as i remember. but then again, he hasnt rolled through nyc since then so i’m due.

  19. mitch Says:

id go see wing at bk bowl its that cool

    not wings the band
    not wings the tv show

  20. bouncin fan Says:

    love TAB though

my girls a huge fan too

if it wasn’t for the acoustic set we were going to visit friends in COlorado and catch 2

  21. bouncin fan Says:

I have to check out Wing

    def interested

    hot chick too

  22. mitch Says:

    your yellow fever is unmatched.

  23. SillyWilly Says:

those samples sound pretty damn good.

  24. mitch Says:

beat it just isnt the same without dancing

  25. bouncin fan Says:

the jam out of Free is just ridiculous too

they need to release summer tour 95 like GD did for Europe 72
