Phish Confirmed At Watkins Glen?

A local blog from New York State, Bands That Jam, is claiming that Watkins Glen is official, contracts have been signed, and that the festival will be an 8-set, Phish-only affair from June 30-July 3rd! Let’s hope this report is correct. I’m not doubting anyone’s journalistic integrity, but one can’t believe anything until it’s on Phish.com.

agree jtran. Listened to that set this morning. Bag>Ghost, Reba. $$$

thanks kaya. haven’t seen Duke look like that in a long time.

    bedtime duty, some dinner, bane.

  3. BrandonKayda Says:

I like the Ghost leading into the 11.7 Bag better than the Bag itself

  4. Jtran Says:

Dang your in for a treat.

I’m gonna spin that set too. Why not

  5. Jtran Says:

    BK

    Bag > Ghost

You still mean you like the Ghost better? Bold statement 😉

If anyone has any other jams that are somewhat similar to that Bag let me know. I have a feeling it’s pretty much on its own though.

  6. Jtran Says:

    Kaya

Never really thought of the crowd factor (silent, attentive, etc). Seems like it allowed them to drop a gem like they did

  7. BrandonKayda Says:

Nevermind. I was talking about 11.21.97 Ghost->AC/DC Bag. Carry on.

  8. TheSloth Says:

    thanks for the repost.

  9. kayatosh Says:

g’night, folks. kid duty. peace. proper 11.7.98 spin will have to wait until tomorrow.

  10. willowed Says:

  11. KWL Says:

new source for 11-7-98 does indeed sound great. right to bag>ghost

  12. BrandonKayda Says:

Face it, Liquid Time will never be played :/

  13. willowed Says:

They have to play it. Zeus sent me an e-mail from Mount Olympus.

    It will happen this summer.

    Zeus is never wrong.

  14. DukeOfLizards Says:

    re: Liquid Time

Has there ever been this much hype around the bust-out of a song that the band has never actually played before?

  15. WorthlesSwampyFool Says:

random question anyone have a megaupload link for 1.1.11 the link throught miner isnt working….?

  16. guitarpicker420! Says:

Sometimes it just has to be said. What a wonderful age we are living in. I was thinking to myself, self, you need some more Phish in your collection. So, I sit down at etree, and in a matter of 15 minutes, I have something like 8 or so shows downloading. Within 30 minutes, the first one will be on my hard drive and minutes later, will be pumping out of my speakers. That is just incredible. I just want to extend a big thanks to all the tapers, all the traders, all the hosters, to Mr. Miner, just thanks. And thanks to Phish for supporting the trading of their shows, and for playing such awesome shows. Can you tell that I’m feeling good?
    Thanks.

yes, that’s every 2001 show (30 GB), or just grab the shows you want

  18. BrandonKayda Says:

    I think not @Duke

Maybe Carini in 1997 after European tour?

  19. BrandonKayda Says:

    That doesn’t really count though

  20. gavinsdad Says:

    right on GP420.

diamond in the back, sunroof top and all that.

  21. butter Says:

    agreed GP420, crazy good times

  22. BrandonKayda Says:

  23. vegas wolfmans Says:

    Watkins rumors denied!!!

    http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack/watkins-glen-prez-says-no-phish-fest-yet/

I have a love/hate relationship with the online rumor mill (mostly hate).

All three of those shows from UIC ’98 were solid- especially 11/7 and 11/9. Great little fall ’98 stand. Highly recommend the Gin from 11/9.

  24. Mr.Miner Says:

lotsa buzz this weekend. sounds like it’d make a good article 🙂

  25. Mr.Miner Says:
