Phish Confirmed At Watkins Glen?

A local blog from New York State, Bands That Jam, is claiming that Watkins Glen is official, contracts have been signed, and that the festival will be an 8-set, Phish-only affair from June 30-July 3rd! Let’s hope this report is correct. I’m not doubting anyone’s journalistic integrity, but one can’t believe anything until it’s on Phish.com.

    Alpine 1 Dwd > WTU
    Greek 3 Light
    12/31/2010 Sand, Ghost
    12/29/09 II Tweezer
    12/30/10 2001

that would be a good start

  2. BrandonKayda Says:

    12/30 2001 is weak IMO – how about the 10/16 2001 😀

  3. ChefBradford Says:

Embarking on a late(ish)-night spin of one of my favorite pieces of Phish (any?) music ever, the storied Lemonwheel Circle of Fire Set IV

  4. Andrew Says:

    Word, thanks for the input!

  9. BrandonKayda Says:

    Gorge Gin is fantastic!

Gorge shows have some of the best jams of 3.0 IMO. They really let every jam stretch out there.

  10. voopa Says:

    + Gorge Gin

  11. EllJefe Says:

When is the Lemonwheel DVD coming out? That would be bad ass. W/ an extra disk of the Sound check and Tower Set from IT.

  12. EllJefe Says:

    Please…….i can hope right?

  13. voopa Says:

    On Blu-Ray!

  14. Gavinsdad Says:

Lemonwheel is the one fest that gets the least chatter around here. I had just started a new job late Spring of 98. Significantly hindered my show going that Summer. Was bummed about missing the ‘Wheel as I had a great experience at the Went the prev Summer.

    What’s the best Lemonwheel jawns?

  15. Gavinsdad Says:

Kinda fresh thAt 99 had both Oswego (did it) and Cypress (didn’t do it) and much other fire. Boys were feeling the big ideas that year.

If Watkins (sans DMB) happens this Summer I think that’s my money shot.

    Repost from last night:

Posted up a rubadub/raggamuffin/danchall reggae mix for ya’s. This one has lots of classics, big tunes, good in the dance. Junior D nice up the dance in session.

  17. jdub Says:

The best Lemonwheel jam is set IV.

My first Phish concert. Unfortunately I was too far gone to remember much from the weekend. Oh well, it was a memorable weekend none the less.

Thanks for that dub mix @AJ. I love the diversity of music shared here. I wish I had some unique stuff to share but I don’t.

And finally some Watkins rumors that bring good news. Let’s hope this is the one that is true.

  18. gavinsdad Says:

word AJ…pulling that mix down now. won’t listen til later…off to a 9:30 am bday party for my daughter’s pre-k friend. Who plans bday parties for 9:30 am on a Sunday?!? wtf..

    Hey Boys
Spent the morning looking at RV’s
We’re looking at 1200 for the run. It would be nice to grab a few of us to make this happen.
6 would be a great number. when this announces I am pulling the trigger on this.

  24. garretc Says:

Did you torrent or dl from the hosting site? If you torrented, they’ll be in mp3 format already, just drag ’em into itunes. If you didn’t, I would assume they’re in a .zip format, or maybe .rar? In either case they’re just compressed files, and you should be able to unzip them using Archive Utility. (I torrented them, so I don’t know if I’m right about the hosting site advice, but that would be my assumption…)

  25. phoammhead Says:

    no, haven’t downloaded anything, yet

    what would you recommend?
