Phish Confirmed At Watkins Glen?

A local blog from New York State, Bands That Jam, is claiming that Watkins Glen is official, contracts have been signed, and that the festival will be an 8-set, Phish-only affair from June 30-July 3rd! Let’s hope this report is correct. I’m not doubting anyone’s journalistic integrity, but one can’t believe anything until it’s on Phish.com.

  1. KWL Says:

new sources on etree for 11-22-97 and 11-7-98 right now. and a 92 interview with fish (haven’t sampled any of the above yet)

teaching college freshman is like teaching 3 year olds sometimes

  2. Robear Says:

having tech issues. i plugged my mac into my tv with the normal connections, but it’s not going to a full screen on the tv. i’m getting a small screen only. weird.

anyway, Stoney Case now has the leaked sbd.’s from KP on deck. but first, must check out the video comp, then the Miami ‘Tweezer’.

  3. Tarkin Says:

    Re: “Gorge Gin is fantastic!

Gorge shows have some of the best jams of 3.0 IMO. They really let every jam stretch out there.”

    I agree with BrandonKayda
One of my favorites was the Possum from that weekend! Love the way Trey and Page go back and forth with their solos! Check it out

  4. Gratefulcub Says:

Except 3 year olds have an excuse for being shitheads and aren’t hung over.

  5. phoammhead Says:

very cool and helpful @KWL – thanks!

    and thanks MrMiner, too!

  6. Spasm Waiter Says:

Robear- goto preferences and then displays. Should be a setting in there.

  7. willowed Says:

Correct boys. We will need to see how tour shakes out. Again, this is just a feeler. We have plenty of time. Hell, nothing has even been announced yet. I love rumors and speculation.

I don’t even know why I posted the RV note. I don’t even own a credit card (I don’t think they allow debit cards – some rental places don’t) , so someone else will have to lay down the card and make the rez. I just got sooo excited.

  8. vegas wolfmans Says:

phoam- It does take a little getting used to, but is totally worth it to be able access all the music out there in lossless format. I also have a mac and use Tansmisson for torrenting and then convert with xact.

  9. Mr. Palmer Says:

the new source for 11.22.97 is an improvement from what i have.

the 11.7.98 UIC sounds sick. grab them both

  10. plord Says:

@jtran, I’m solo parenting and headed out to bowl/arcade/junk food with the kiddos. Sorry to miss you and garretc :/

  11. EL Duderino Says:

    @ Palmer

What “other” source are you comparing the new Hampton source to?

  12. Robear Says:

thx. spasm. it looks to have worked!

  13. Robear Says:

bumpin’ 7/4 ‘Jibboo’ on the big screen. nice. thx @ Spizzazm!

  14. Mr. Palmer Says:

not sure dude. May have been from Miner’s archive. Like i said, its an improvement. Hampton seems to be a very ‘echoey” room to begin with for some reason.

  15. EL Duderino Says:

    @ Palmer

    This is what I have:

    From Last Night…

    Lemonwheel:

I didn’t go to the WENT but went to the Lemonwheel.
    Loved it!
Found the Loring AFB to be comfortable.

    A show I haven’t revisited more than once…

  17. EL Duderino Says:

I’m also curious as to how the MPP Kevorkian re-master made it to the ‘noid before it’s release on 2/01/11???

  18. Gavinsdad Says:

Thought the Went was a great payoff for the schlep up to Limestone. Good memories.

  19. EL Duderino Says:

here’s my youtube share for today.

    didn’t even know this existed

  20. Robear Says:

    Miami ‘Tweezer’

if they’re not playing around with the ‘Manteca’ theme, somethings wrong with my ears.

  21. joe Says:

schlep is a good word for it. I loved that the locals were just out on their lawns and such watching the freak parade come through…people in Coventry were cool to a point but then I think they just kind of got tired of the whole thing or got greedy about how much $$ they could make off of stranded fans.

  22. Robear Says:

    nice duder!

::adds GD vid to list of things to peep today::

  23. gavinsdad Says:

yeah joe…ride into town was bucolic…locals were really into the spectacle.

regarding this “pro shot” video from today’s post. is all this stuff pro shot by the phish org? funny how the lighting is on the alumni blues at camden…sun was still up at that point. weird. i love that dusky lighting in the pav during set 1.

  24. Robear Says:

2/13, 2/14/70 are two old faves of mine, duder.

is harpur college an official release? 5/2/70

  25. EL Duderino Says:

    @ GDad

I think the vim stuff is all the video releases from Phish.com put into one whole segment
