Phish Confirmed At Watkins Glen?

A local blog from New York State, Bands That Jam, is claiming that Watkins Glen is official, contracts have been signed, and that the festival will be an 8-set, Phish-only affair from June 30-July 3rd! Let’s hope this report is correct. I’m not doubting anyone’s journalistic integrity, but one can’t believe anything until it’s on Phish.com.

i’m doin’ a little clearing out, declutter, if you will

should i get rid of all of some of my cds now that i’ve got them all downloaded on my hard drive?

I do have them backed up on a Time Capsule Mac Backup Drive.

i’ve got several hundred cds purchased over the last 20 years

granted, some i may want to keep for collector purposes such as One From The Vault

a few examples REM Document, The Smithereens, 10 Thousand Maniacs, Deep Purple, Steve Miller Band, Kansas

i’ve also got some classic rock-n-roll such as Led Zep and the Stones

i might selectively keep a bunch, but i’m thinking i don’t want to keep a lot of them indefinitely

it’s hard to think of letting them go when you spen1 $15 a pop on ’em

what are some of your thoughts?

what are some selling options that peeps know of?

  2. EL Duderino Says:

    @ Robear

    Dick’s Picks 8 I believe

    Best Viola Lee of all-time

  3. EL Duderino Says:

    @ phoamm

They re-released all 3 From the Vault series in HDCD format a few years back.

Store bought cd’s can be resold for $$$

  4. Robear Says:

dang duder, don’t have that one. time for a bit of a search.

i think that ‘viola lee’ came on sirius Jam on the other night. Blew me away. Instant transport to my college days, skipping classes, puffin’ tough, spinning GD bootlegs.

  5. EL Duderino Says:

    @ robear

    I believe it’s up @ the ‘noid…

  6. joe Says:

it’s funny, that they were all about the video releases this summer, but didn’t really put out any fall when they were in a better groove musically. (or did I just miss the vids?)

  7. Robear Says:

    yup. found it.

  8. c0wfunk Says:

    how’s everyone been?

lemonwheel was a peak experience for me after being on the road from the va beach, merriweather up through starlake and vernon downs then up to maine. I had been to maine a ton as a kid cuz my grandparents own a place up there, which we stopped at going up, so it was super cool immersing back in up there on my own terms.

musical highlights for me is the sinister gumbo>sanity>tweezer, along with a great bowie w/ pink floyd’s time teases in the intro on the first night. Of course the ambient jam is the stuff of dreams..

night 2’s dwd > piper ghost>fluffhead does the trick too.

Hope everyone’s doing well! gorgeous day in the mtns headin out w/ the dawgzz.

Will check in again later.. what’s the latest on the rumour mill? Watkins Glen July 4 I’m hearing?

  9. BrandonKayda Says:

  10. gavinsdad Says:

    right on @c0W

    thank you @ dude

  11. EL Duderino Says:

I declare that we should have dsbd’s of all Phish festivals.

  12. Robear Says:

I second @ duder’s notion, and add full Holiday Runs to the docket.

  13. Robear Says:

about to spin KP’s sbd comp. and feeling a bit confused.

i thought we weren’t allowed to play mp3’s around here.

  14. EL Duderino Says:

St. John’s is making Duke it’s little punk ass bitch, bent over a barrel, and Buffalo Billed

  15. Mr. Palmer Says:

St. John’s throttling Duke on national TV. haha.

  16. ThePigSong Says:

fuck, why doesn’t everyone plan their weddings around rumored Phish dates?

  17. joe Says:

what’s the best adjective for Mike’s hooded jacket (or is it an attachment?)?

  18. phoammhead Says:

skip it pigsong . . . the wedding, that is

no seriously, i don’t have time for such bullshit!

    😉

  19. ThePigSong Says:

I’m planning on just skipping Saturday of the festi – what airports do you use for Watkins Glen?

    actually, WTF is Watkins Glen?

  20. butter Says:

    Stash on NBC, snowboarding

  21. butter Says:

First festi I’ll miss since BC

Reminding myself it’s about the ones u hit, hard with bigjig and the rest of crew looking at diesel buses

  22. ae Says:

airports are not so convenient for this potential fest. rochester and syracuse are about 2 hours, but not sure how many flights there are into those spots. albany is a bit further and nyc 5 hours.

  23. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

“fuck, why doesn’t everyone plan their weddings around rumored Phish dates?”

tried to get my cousin to do this but she fucking made it on halloween weekend next year dflkjaghjsf
