  4. ThePigSong Says:

did they drop a peaches in 2010? I missed 09’s by one night.

  5. Rob Says:

I was at the Greatwoods show, and I remember how hard they played back then, every night was an absolute treat, and I remember how much it seemed underground, almost nobody I’d mention it too knew who the hell I was talking about…anyway…that was a great show and not that I’m complaining at all, just pointing out the fact that I missed Gamehenge by one night ; (

  6. butterflyeffect Says:

@Pig phish.net says that’s been the only Peaches since 99. crazy.

conference this weekend BB. please send me the good vibes on saturday morning, sometime between 10.30 and 12 eastern.

intensely lucid dream with the trza last night. took me a while to figure out wtf was going on after i woke.

for all of those whose weekend starts this afternoon, happy friday. have a great one, damn it!

  7. Gavinsdad Says:

Cheers Miner one of my fave years for sure. They were manic back then, almost possessed. 94 was a tough year. Id gone to FL for rehab the year previous…was living at my folks and back in college down there in 94. Was staying away from “people places and things” for the most part. But I couldn’t stay away from Phish. In hindsight I wish I’d hit Orlando and Gainesville that Fall, theywere just hours away, but I opted for 10/21 in Sunrise which was a majestic and blissful show, if only in my own mind. Song based, but I think it was my first Curtain.

I’d been to my roomate from rehabs funeral that day, I wore all white in protest. He died from aids, and his parents never came to see him in the hospital. At the funeral they spoke of Howie like he was a saint, but they treated him like a base animal. I shoveled dirt on his casket and said I’d celebrate him via dance later that nite. And I did just that.

Tour kids at the time (yep) told me about Simple when I got that too that nite. The other FL shows were hotter but I had a special time…got to Philly civ in Dec as well. Enjoy your day peeps. Be thankful for what you’ve got.

  8. phoammhead Says:

i went to the philly cc in late dec ’94 as well @GD

flew up to philly by myself, stayed in a hotel next to the venue, found a phun guy, caught a great show and then flew home the next day – got mound opener that night

’94 was a great phish year

  9. gavinsdad Says:

right on phoamm. i swear i remember some stage antics from that 12/28 show like trey running around the stage but nobody has ever been able to substantiate this faint memory. i remember thinking…”shit, this whole scene, in the 4 years that i’ve seen this band, has fully sprouted it’s own tour culture”. full blown wook couples were hugging and swaying during Contact like it was Stella Blue! i would chuckle to myself at that. gotta say @Phoamm, when i met you in AC I thought you were quite a bit younger!

  10. st8 of mind Says:

Mornin’ BB. These play lists are sweet. Thanks Miner!

  11. phoammhead Says:

@gd that’s probably because i was with BEK, if you know what i mean! 😉

i was into my 4th year seeing the band, too.

can’t substantiate your trey running around the stage memory

my specific memories of showz in those years are few and far between . . . for some reason or another! 8)

i agree phish was really blowing up, er um . . . blown up by 1994 – it was amazing to find this other band that had a newer and crazier energy (as opposed to the GD)! 🙂

  12. kayatosh Says:

right on, peeps. I thought phoamm was a youngin too. the BEK factor. well-played, phoamm.

  13. KWL Says:

    thanks miner. today’s ttff = $$$$

  14. Mr. Palmer Says:

god damn this Reba is a smoker.

  15. KWL Says:

sure is mr p. staccato trey 😉

  16. BTB Says:

    Thanks for the tunes Miner!

Did a little mock-history write-up on MANTECA last night. The truth hurts.

    http://www.facemeltage.blogspot.com/

There’s a stream of the original Manteca, which is a good way to start the day.

  17. Mr. Palmer Says:

new source : Lemonwheel 8/15/98 including ambient set!

  18. MisterChristian Says:

Providence ’94 was my first show, I’ll admit it was a bit of a culture shock at first, but it wasn’t long before I was all in!

  19. Guyute711 Says:

Thought I was going to 2 concerts in the next three days and now I am going to none. Phish release some dates, I am getting sick of being concert free. 🙁

  20. Jtran Says:

Went to a benefit show last night at Higher Ground with Page and Fish making brief appearances. Page sat in for 5ish songs in the first set, Fish for 1 in the first and about 3in the second. It was funny seeing these guys sing Quinn in a non-Phish setting.

Page sang Stuck in the Middle With You, $$$. Great > to Taxman taboot. Pretty good music otherwise as well with Russ Lawton, Ray Packowzski and Bob Wagner (local guitarist) leading the way.

    Shot of Page: http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs800.ash1/169005_667618924230_6913259_38275338_8252603_n.jpg

  21. kenny powers Says:

1994 was my favorite year for the longest time…still might be, although my changing tastes favor the late ’90s and 2000 style of jamming.

but ’94 was really the first year they really took jams OUT THERE. they had a great mix of youthful playfulness and serious musicianship.

1994 may be the year of Reba. great versions all over Phishtory of course, but fans of Jedi Trey multipeaks have to love the consistently sick ’94 Rebas.

of course the year holds a place in my heart, being the year of my first show as well as producing the first AUD on analog cassette I practically wore out (10/31/94 set I).

  22. P.S.H.S. Says:

just got a fat chunk of change from the irs. thanks little avatars!!! Daddy’s gonna buy a bottle of scotch and some sticky icky ooooh weeee today to celebrate!!!

  23. kenny powers Says:

which reminds me, i still need to watch the 10/31/94 video i recently downloaded off the ‘Noid. i’ve had the DVDs for a while but this new video replaces the AUD audio with a matrix and it sounds fantastic.

  24. Phamily Berzerker Says:

Where is AJ when you are jonesin for some rumored tour dates?!?

    🙂

  25. EL Duderino Says:

    A MUST HAVE and a major up-grade!
One of only 2 birthday shows for the Dude.
