Dos. Thanks for the Michigan posts Miner. I live in Mi, and I have never heard this 92 show.

  3. st8 of mind Says:

Congrats to all you Packer fans too. Big Ben choked big time.

  6. KWL Says:

kp – just read back, thanks for the gorge sources!

Solid win for the Pack, they looked good out there. Game was at least interesting until the end. That’s all you can ask for in a bowl (if your squad is not in it).

Feel like I jumped on the LCD train a bit late, as they are already retiring. Final show at MSG April 2nd. Definitely going to be there, should be a party.

    Keep your head up Spaz!

Got up at the but crack of dawn to drive 3 hrs to Cairo, NY this morning. Had my sister’s iPod on shuffle, which has 10 Phish songs out of a 1000 random songs. About 20 minutes from destination Antelope comes on, I get pumped, go to turn it up, look up and see an Antelope crossing sign. I proceded to pass 10 such signs during the course of the jam. Aparantly I entered an Antelope zone. Fantastic way to end this trip.

    Have a great day all!

    mornin’ all

there is a certain type of innocence that I hear in these ’92 recordings. I don’t know how to really explain it, but listening to that YEM>Shaggy Dog, it just seems like there is no weight on their shoulders and they are just up there totally having a blast in the moment. maybe it is the sparse instrumentation (i.e. no heavy effects and the looser sound of being in a small theater as opposed to a large venue) or maybe it is the playful nature of it all (what with the Brady Bunch teases, the “suck it!” fills from Trey, or whatever).

does anyone else get this feeling at all? it is pretty cool to listen to and think about where they have come from these now seemingly humble beginnings… phish is good.

Does SBM mean Sound Board Matrix?

  13. Phamily Berzerker Says:

    @T3 yes I agree.

    I dig this Reba…

  14. Spasm Waiter Says:

JDub- Thanks bud. So stupid to be upset by a sporting event but here I am.
T3- Love the playfulness of the early years.
    PB- That is truly frightening.

  15. SOAM Says:

    10. Merriwether 6/27 (solid show throughout, lots of variety like Manchester)
    9. Charleston 10/16 (first set w. mango, sand, sneakin, i dig this show alot)
    8. *Greek 8/6 (killer first set cities>moma, great overall second set taboot)
    7. Alpine 8/15 (second set pushes this one up, disease>whats the use mikes groove))
    6. Alpharetta 7/4 (great setlist and balls out playing)
    5. *Greek 8/7 (best of the greek-sick grooves throughout)
    4. AC 10/30 (killer show right from the start-medleys belong in superbowls though, even if its Zep)
3 MSG 12/31 (second set is best playing of the year hands down)
    2. *Manchester 10/26 (best 2 set performance, covers, one offs, surrounded by Big Jams and second set that slays)
    1. Utica 10/20 (fuckin heat start to finish)

    @pham b
that is one awkward hairpiece, but he’s got nothing on this guy. bread helmets are teh new hotness.

random musings: wouldn’t it be cool if instead of doing all the custy anthems during the acoustic set of the upcoming TAB tour he did all rare stuff like Shaggy Dog? I’d be down with that.

  17. Robear Says:

    Top of the mornin’ all!

the sports world breaths a sigh of relief,

that Ben Ruthlessberger did not win his third ring.

TIII, I’ve been really noticing the stripped down, nearly effects free sounds of ’92 and earlier Trey. He was real good.

  18. DukeOfLizards Says:

I’m super intrigued by what’s going to go down in these acoustic sets. Obviously there will be your fair share of Samples, Wilsons, and #lines, but the cu$ty anthems aren’t enough to fill a whole set, let alone multiple nights in a row.

Will there be cool solo arrangements of Phish songs? New tunes? Sweet covers? 20-minute face-melting Everydays?

  19. Robear Says:

also, agree with @ Duder. The Mendenhall fumble was huge. And could be called the play of the game. Steelers really had snatched momentum and the Pack was reeling w/o Woodson in the second half.

  20. Robear Says:

    speaking of face melters:

    ‘Tweezer’ 11/23/94 Fox = melted

  21. willowed Says:

So the weight of the snow and ice crushed my pool. What a freakin’ winter.

    Is it 2/20 yet?

    I need a break.

Love the younger Phish. Youthful exuberance and wonder. Stripped down clean tones. I like going back to the roots every now and again.

  22. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

let it be known, doctor’s offices of the world, that we do not appreciate it when your hold music is kenny g. I just died a little while on hold with my doctor’s office. I feel worse now than I did when I called.

  23. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

that’s a bummer, willowed. now how is KP gonna do bellyflops this summer? seriously though, I hope that’s covered by your home owner’s policy…

  24. willowed Says:

    we’ll see

    I hope so

  25. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    good luck.

better your pool than your roof I suppose…
