    Spinning 11/23/97 set I

Beginning to think that the release at the end of Fluffhead is one of those IT moments..no jam necessary.

Kinda getting washed out due to the frequency they play it these days though.

    @mitch
this will provide a little insight on that for you

    http://www.jambands.com/features/2002/07/24/guyute-and-your-local-forecast-the-story-behind-phish-on-the-weather-channel

and then there’s this which is where you should go to find out what is in the current local on the 8s rotation…

  12. lumpyhead Says:

^ word mitch about the weather channel head.

  13. Mr.Miner Says:

any post ideas…my thoughts are running thin…lists? Things to expect? Not to expect re: summer? Some non-research-based topics? Opinions? Its kind of work on my Phish book all day, get to the end of the session, and then write a piece about Phish 🙂 any ideas welcome, but I reserve the right to not use em 😉

  14. mitch Says:

miner, you can use that show i texted you last week… i formatted my phone and forgot it. from a cafeteria at a college. 91?

  15. mitch Says:

then write about the DVD easter eggs so people can find them.

  16. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    @miner
one thing that might be helpful for people who haven’t really explored your site outside of the posts is a refresher on some of the great things you’ve done previously, like your dj mixes, the “best of tour” compilations, the archive, etc.

another one that might interest people (and I apologize if you have done this already) is to talk about your first show and how it was that you went to check out this band called phish. I bet people would be very interested to hear about when you got IT.

  17. Gavinsdad Says:

@miner – Phishs sensitive side. You write alot about communal experience and transportive experiences gleaned via jams. Would be nice to hear your take on how the sacred (too much?) is also found in Phishs softer side.

  18. poop goblin Says:

Miner piece on Phish’s slow cuts tomorrow

    the make out tunes

  19. poop goblin Says:

    greek remasters sound $$$

  20. poop goblin Says:

i still think Miner should right the 99 TAB piece

been spinning a bunch of that tour lately

  21. Gavinsdad Says:

And @miner …as a lifelong dancer at shows…I’d be interested in your take on how this is a part of your/our experience. I think dancing and the band (and some extras) go hand in hand for you.

  22. vegas wolfmans Says:

phish ballads that don’t suck? new ones that are keepers. eg: Show of Life. ones that should ALWAYS be in the rotation. eg: Lifeboy.

^trying to come up with a suitable topic makes my head hurt. Don’t know how you do it, Miner.

7/4/99 is a sick show. Ghost>Slave. Come on. Unfair how good that is.

  23. mitch Says:

phish make out tunes are funky also. not just slow.

  24. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

agreed on the 99 TAB call. I’ve been digging those too and with the return to the acoustic/electric format this year it mirrors that tour nicely.

  25. Gavinsdad Says:

Yeh 99 tab tour recap and highlights would be dope. Missed that one. Following tour at Roseland was my first TAB
