Ten Random Rumors

Phish won’t likely announce their summer schedule until Trey finishes touring in March. Perhaps that estimate is off by a little, but it doesn’t seem that any word is coming imminently. During the off-season, I only report legitimate rumors from reliable sources. But today, just for the fun of discussion, I figured I’d throw out some of the random buzz that I’ve heard from various sources that are not my connects. Take them with a grain of salt, folks, this is more of a fun than predictive Thursday exercise.

1. Hampton for Memorial Day weekend is not happening.

2. The July 1-3 festival at Watkins Glen will end a nationwide tour that skips the Northeast.

3. Phish will play in Florida in June, specifically, West Palm Beach.

4. Phish will return to Alpharetta for multiple nights.

5. The end of tour will go Alpine > Deer Creek > Star Lake > Watkins Glen.

6. Hampton for Memorial Day weekend is happening.

7. Red Rocks – June 17 and 18

8. Phish will hit the west coast again, but to what extent is the real question. All I’ve heard is Shoreline.

9. The Gorge with DMB on Labor Day weekend. Say it ain’t so!

10. Northeast Leg II? No Leg II?

Jam of the Day:

Rock and Roll > Theme > Dog Log” 9.17.00 II

Though the latter two thirds of Merriweather’s set opening combo made it to an archives show, for some reason the best part of the trio was left out. Check out the seamless segment in full right here.

Selectah, you’re bassing through my office right now. First time tuning in -digging it!

That definitely seems logical Palmer, but this may be to offset the NE heavy shows that undersold last year. Mansfield, 2 nights of Hartford, 2 of SPAC, Finger Lakes was serious saturation. Nite 1 Hartford was only like 60% full (which has it’s upside, in that 40% were spared the horror of th-HORSE!). I wasn’t complaining, because i got to catch more shows, but tickets were a-plenty

    mornin’ all you natty people

selecta, once again the attack of the roots has put me in the right mind space for the day ahead. are we going to get anything off of that lovely Reggae Sound album today?

I saw that the other day. I’d bet it is real, though you aren’t seeing the editing and numerous attempts that went into it.

and this is definitely the funniest link I’ve read yet today. Indiana is so awesome sometimes.

  10. Calpain Says:

@Bhizzle- I just crunched the numbers (using a temp. of 60 degrees) and your beer should theoretically be 13% abv! 😮
Does this sound right, did it taste that strong??

Well, don’t worry I am sure you can put those hops to good use.
If you use a lighter extract it will affect the color and maybe a slightly less malty taste. But, if you are making a heavily hopped beer you may want some matlyness just to balance out the hops (caramel malt would be lighter in color but malty-enough I think).

  11. Mr. Palmer Says:

i’m waiting for the lossless version…

  16. bhizzle Says:

Calpain…it definitely tasted on the maltier side which I associate with big ABV. I was however trying to get a higher ABV, but not that high…I’ll trust your calcs. I’m still going to drink it.

Medeski subbed for Ray years ago on TAB tour so I can definitely see that happening…I’d love to see MMW again. That whole run out west they have been soliciting setlists from fans and it seems they’re getting a lack of responses from the CO heads.
