Ten Random Rumors

Phish won’t likely announce their summer schedule until Trey finishes touring in March. Perhaps that estimate is off by a little, but it doesn’t seem that any word is coming imminently. During the off-season, I only report legitimate rumors from reliable sources. But today, just for the fun of discussion, I figured I’d throw out some of the random buzz that I’ve heard from various sources that are not my connects. Take them with a grain of salt, folks, this is more of a fun than predictive Thursday exercise.

1. Hampton for Memorial Day weekend is not happening.

2. The July 1-3 festival at Watkins Glen will end a nationwide tour that skips the Northeast.

3. Phish will play in Florida in June, specifically, West Palm Beach.

4. Phish will return to Alpharetta for multiple nights.

5. The end of tour will go Alpine > Deer Creek > Star Lake > Watkins Glen.

6. Hampton for Memorial Day weekend is happening.

7. Red Rocks – June 17 and 18

8. Phish will hit the west coast again, but to what extent is the real question. All I’ve heard is Shoreline.

9. The Gorge with DMB on Labor Day weekend. Say it ain’t so!

10. Northeast Leg II? No Leg II?

Jam of the Day:

Rock and Roll > Theme > Dog Log” 9.17.00 II

Though the latter two thirds of Merriweather’s set opening combo made it to an archives show, for some reason the best part of the trio was left out. Check out the seamless segment in full right here.

the view out your front window, dude? 😉

did you see where those “world” islands are sinking into the ocean!

that’s some crazy shit – too much money, me thinks . . . or, perhaps egos too big

    @ Palmer

You and your wife are welcome in our home if you want to do a SE swing.
We have an extra bed and bath. Leo lives 2 blocks from me and g711 isn’t so far either. If there’s a SE run I bet we’ll have another adventure with folks’ coming from all over

  3. phoammhead Says:

we’ll see MrP about weak sauce

dude, i stayed in the Clarion on Hillsborough St in Raleigh last summer – i would go back there again – was recently renovated and rooms were nice – a lot of headz stayed there

my crew booked a van ride to and from hotel – worked perfectly

  4. Mr. Palmer Says:

Thanks for the kind offer @ dude. It is a definite possibility.

  5. EL Duderino Says:

    @ phoammhead

Hillsborough St. is a cool area fo’ shoo’ N.C. State land if you will

  6. EL Duderino Says:

Fayetteville St. I believe is where the Marriott Center City hotel is

  7. EL Duderino Says:

…and when ever you’re in town man, you should give us(Leo, g711 and myself) a call and we can hang out with you and BEK

  8. phoammhead Says:

yeah, duder, it’s cool to be in a hip locale for these shows, but i don’t often go out late niten’ during these phish runs

so, stayin’ on hillsborough street where all the bars are is that big a draw for me personally

primary reason i haven’t been going out late night after phish shows is that most of my shows have been of multiple runs and i want to be ready to get down again the next night and not so tired and/or hung over

stayed up and went out late night in charlotteville in ’09 – went to see toubab krewe after that show

1st night of alpharetta last year i was worn out after raleigh and charlotte

bounced back for night 2, though

  9. phoammhead Says:

*is not that big a draw

  10. Mr. Palmer Says:

phoam- the wsp is audio only. didn’t start yet. you can listen through itunes

  11. phoammhead Says:

yes dude, we want to see you guys and slfs again

i have a good friend that will put bek and i up in charlotte – lives on magnolia ave

we had a pre-party at his house, etc

    that’s why i didn’t catch leo’s bbbbq

  12. phoammhead Says:

i’m going to stream this panic cast

what program should i use to open a m3u file?

  13. phoammhead Says:

    okay MrP

damn, i was hoping for a videocast

  14. ThePigSong Says:

I love the intent of these TypeII podcasts, but I’m not sure it’s for me.

It’s pretty much a bunch of heads doing exactly what goes on here all day, but I don’t get any input.

anywayz, Miner might get mad if I get my opinions from other sources 😉

  15. phoammhead Says:

bek is going apeshit to this kev remaster greek lizards right now – running around the house like crazy!

  16. Gavinsdad Says:

Awesome time in NC last Summer all the way around. That Marriott el dude recommended was perfect. Good bars a few blocks away. Charlotte was bomb at Leos. That whole day was sweet…recOvering from having my mind baby and all. Met alot of fools from the black motherfucking board. And then some carini FYF. Just a generally good time had by many. The South can most certainly put it down.

^ps….all you cats that caught Lakewood Amp shows along the way….im jealous!!

  17. Gavinsdad Says:

Really hoping to catch a w coast 2 pack this Summer. Nice lil in-and-out.

  18. phoammhead Says:

  19. EL Duderino Says:

I’m hoping that if there are 2 “LA” shows one is really Ventura.

San Diego would be great as well since I’ve never been there

  20. EL Duderino Says:
