ask and you shall receive, i guess around here, wow

  3. garretc Says:

He’s an all request blogger, @butter!

Bring a sign next time, he loves those…

  4. butter Says:

wow that “Empire state of mind” was a case of genre crossing gone wrong

  5. Makisupa Says:

In all you do, for all the music – a big wet west coast snowball THANK YOU!

i have heard the Albany TAB Sand can cure all emotional wounds

The Patch Cow is silly funk in this T%$*&5 Jibboo

My seat dancing en route to work tomorrow listening to this could phreek some folks

I just love the Russ and Tony pocket – Trey is so free

  6. brother Says:

cincy beat gtown? hows that taste miner?

  7. voopa Says:

    Yo word brotha

  8. Selector J Says:

Trey played Liquid Time as a kick down just so he could play Hey Ya again methinks. At least Empire State of Mind is site specific. I doubt that one returns. The electric set from last night looks to be where it’s at, though! Can’t wait to hear Mr. Completely. I almost forgot what that one sounds like.
Reggae show comes on in another 45 minutes (7am CST). Getcha some here:

  9. willowed Says:

That second set from philly looks (I stress…looks, have not listened) like the best of the tour so fat. Lot’s of heavy hitters

    Push On
    Dark and Down
    Mr. C
    Burlap Sack
    Noght Speaks

    Some great jams right there!!

  10. bhizzle Says:

I click on the listen link Selecta and the Windows MEdia Player won’t play it. What do I need?!?!?!

  11. willowed Says:

    Liquid Time accoustic…again???

    What is he thinking?

  12. bhizzle Says:

I betcha he’s thinking he needs to throw it in the Phish catalog more often

  13. gavinsdad Says:

^it was tight Willowed. really well done. as was heavy things. wanted him to strap the catdoc on but…electric set was around the corner.

i was super claustrophobic in Elec Fact last nite…had to move back behind the taper rigs…overall good vibe from the peeps. tickets sold out before kaya and i got there. we got sorted. i bought two tix and tried to sell one to a kid for $40 (under face) to a kid and his girlfriend and i got MASSIVE attitude from the kid about him wanting to pay $30 and he accused me of scalping. i was incredulous…told him to fuck himself. it was really unlike me. i was so shook by the fact that this happened that i went back and gave him the “i’ve been doing this for 20 years and was doing you a KINDNESS” lecture and that i’d never scalp a ticket and he must be out of his mind. he forked over the $40 and whined about his giving the ticket to his girlfriend and that he’d now not be able to get in so i spent another half hour casually looking for another ticket for him just because it’s in my blood to get all people in the building (even if they’re douchey) but had to jump on line in the cold to get in.

just amazed that i was trying to do something nice for someone and it gets flipped on me.

anyway…super fun show…not really sated…need more music….but don’t wanna rush into Summer…it’ll get here when it comes.

  14. butterflyeffect Says:

    is it may 27th yet?

  15. bhizzle Says:

gdad…don’t let that shit phase ya…you are a better man than I..I too would have told him to go fuck himself and left it at that. Kidz these days I have lil hope for anymore…

That Jibboo is suhweet! Ray’s playing is just holding it together and funkafying it so much. Thanks for sharing Miner! On to the next one.

  16. bhizzle Says:

    Also, isn’t Birdwatcher acapella?

  17. lastwaltzer Says:

trey showing the love for his hometown. Looks like a stellar second set.

When was the last dark and down?

  18. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

    mornin’ party people

looks like the heat is gettin’ hotter on TAB tour

for phish it is, but for TAB it is a swinging jump jive piece

weird story right there @gdad. the kids these days! no idea what’s what.

selecta gettin’ all morning show dj on us this morning. where’s the fart sounds and hot sounding sidekick chick?

  19. SillyWilly Says:

    Morning, kids

thursday mornings with selector J are the best

i get all kinds of stuff done like laundry and cleaning my apartment and reading my assignments for the day all to some reggae riddims

  20. Luther T. Justice Says:

Except for the kids on here, most have no respect nowadays. (Even though that makes me sound like I’m 80, I’m only 39.)

  21. HarryHood Says:

I scheduled a work trip to Pittsburgh for tonight and tomorrow night, so I’ve got a phatty hotel lined up if anyone feels like joining BTB and I for the Friday night show.

  22. SillyWilly Says:

    you’re a great dude

you’ve never shown anything but kindness to so many people surrounding this scene.

that kid was just punk. I know it would bother me in the moment, too, but it doesn’t change the fact that you are:

    Gavin’s Dad, The Ticket Hunter.

With Gdad and his back pack on your side, don’t worry, you’ll get in the building!

  23. SillyWilly Says:

wow. that kid from PC put up 54 on ND last night.

that’s a lot of points in 40 minutes of basketball

  24. SillyWilly Says:

Woops. He only scored 52. But, still. Wow.

  25. P.S.H.S Says:

gdad, i got that same reaction in spac this summer. i was trying to sell my extras for fathers day, so i could spend my first one with my boys, and the little fucker started to haggle with me. i was offering them for $40, and he said “fuck that, $25, no one will be here tomorrow its fathers day” my response, “you know who else wont be he, YOU!” and sold them to someone else right in front of him for $50 a piece. Hows that for karma?
