  3. phoammhead Says:

don’t they tell those recruits in the police academy “if this vans a rockin’ don’t come a knockin’” – lol!

alls good, just a little blip in the road

i knew my registration was expired, so i really can’t complain about that

but, when you start wanting to pat me down and put me in the back of the squad car, then you better have a damn good reason and not be comin’ down on me for havin’ too good a time!

  4. willowed Says:

Man…I just listened to the Woosta Hood while on the tread mill. I walked away from it for a bit since it was in steady rotation for so long.
    Man that was pure magic.

Miner, I know you have never written about that one specific jam, but I would really like to hear your thoughts on it. I know you mentioned great things should be left alone. Think you will tackle this one any time soon?

Hope your weekend is going smooth.

  5. kayatosh Says:

    woosta hood — $$$.

lone aud. tape for colombus (mk41) is a winner. $$$, as far as TAB tapes go.

  6. willowed Says:

    I hope that’s 3 out of 3 Kaya

  7. kenny powers Says:

@ willowed – while i think you’re correct and there was no post completely dedicated to the Woosta Hood, here are a couple mini-reviews from shortly after the run…

from 1/10/11: ” Perhaps the most immaculate example of this subliminal musical mastery came in Worcester’s “Harry Hood,” in which the band echoed and finished each others’ thoughts and phrases as naturally as a river flows through the woods. Playing with an ego-less virtuosity, the band scribed a new-school symphony for life, itself.”

from 1/6/11: “Following a notably well-played “Frankie Says > Albuquerque,” in which individual notes and the space between them were given equally attentive care, Phish dropped into — in my opinion — the jam of the entire run in “Harry Hood.” United by a selfless ethos, Phish fused precise rhythmic interplay into a blissful and futuristic collaborative canvas, resulting in a life-affirming tale of experimental triumph. “

  8. phoammhead Says:

i’m listening to columbus right now

started with harry hood . . . through hey ya . . . now on to the electricity – valentine!

    this source is money, kaya

trey and tab are layin’ down some good times – maybe not like we all would prefer, but treza’s putting it out there in a pretty good way, nonetheless

hope the folks catchin’ tonight’s show get a good taste

  9. willowed Says:

“the band scribed a new-school symphony for life, itself.”

    That sounds about right!!

  10. phoammhead Says:

whoa, kp – thanks for bringin’ those MrMiner thoughts back up – beautiful writing as is the jam!

  11. kayatosh Says:

    willowed: yes.

phoam: yes. mk41 for 2.26 hits the mark. gorgeous. twist up dave, makes no difference. great stuff.

  12. phoammhead Says:

  13. phoammhead Says:

even though i’m from asheville = beer city usa

i love rogue dead guy ale = my favorite beer

  14. gavinsdad Says:

    beer:

was gifted a Russian River Redemption blonde ale in the bottle from a co-worker. tried it last nite. not my thing.

was gifted a 6′er of Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball by brother in law last nite. we all shared some. it’s called a “strong” ale at 9.0 abv. complex little fucker but not really my style. way too strong. when i’m drinking beer i generally am not into it to get annihilated and these really good beers are always high abv and it makes it hard to even drink 4 of em without getting flattened. i prefer to be out for awhile and sip on a few beers over time.

2 bottles troegs nugget nectar left. they will be gone during Knicks Vs. Heat.

case of Yards Philly Pale in basement and as per @phoamm they are my fave “drinkin” beer at 4.5′ish abv. great taste. amazing post show semi spun come down beers. specially when real cold.

  15. phoammhead Says:

    i’m with you @gd

i don’t typically don’t like “high” gravity beers

this rogue dead guy ale is probably around 6-7, which is a little high for my preference, but this beer is soooo . . . sooo tasty!

  16. mitch Says:

I had the 2010 la folie sour beer by new Belgium at a bar the other night. Had it back in the day at the brewery. Really cool spin on a beer.

Well I’m home on the train now. Just waiting to leave. Stopover at AWs was just what the train conductor called for.

  17. phoammhead Says:

i’m in the camp that likes ocelot better in the tab format

new camp . . . i like alaska better in the tab format

  18. fat bastard Says:

At fat cats for a beer any of you freaks here?

  19. Mr. Palmer Says:

    Pitt Set II.. $$$

Knicks play zero defense. Its almost comical. The offensive talent on these two teams is nuts.

  20. brother Says:

Miami is bringin it tonight. Also, i don’t know if “The Social Network” will win the oscar tonight, but it is easily the best movie i have seen this year and as good as any movie i have seen in the last ten years.

  21. fat bastard Says:

What the oscar losers. Off to TAB!

  22. phoammhead Says:

have a great one @fat bastard!!!

  23. Jtran Says:
