3.5.2011 TAB @ The Fox, Oakland, CA: Butter
…The night seemed to begin at “Heavy Things”;ย as simultaneously – the rest of TAB took the stage –ย and people began to care about what was going on, onstage. Liquid Time is a showcase tune in this setting and theย horns help color the musical pallete. Trey currently has the young Natalie “Chainsaw” Cressman on trombone, TAB staple; Jennifer Hartswick on trumpet, and Russell Remmington on saxophone and flute. While this is not “The Tower of Power” horns section, they help develop the sound of this band, playing mostly charted out lines…Read On Here!

3.1.2011 TAB @ The Ogden, Denver, CO: Mike San Clements
…Trey came out around 8:30, did his classic nod and wave, picked up his guitar and quickly launched into Farmhouse. I’d read a lot of complaints about people being loud during the acoustic sets, but the crowd at the Ogden hushed immediately and stayed quiet and sang through all the right parts. It was actually quite impressive, particularly during Theme and Backwards Down the Number Line where they instinctively filled in for the missing band members.ย Trey enjoyed it too, and it felt like a true collaboration between performer and audience…Read On Here!

the Irish path to the finals just got a little bit more manageable…
@BK
Yeah, that about sums up my skateboarding experiences… Haha. Then my friends and I discovered longboarding in high school and I took to that much better cause I didn’t have to do tricks, all I had to do was go really fast down hills! So much easier…
Exciting bonus of longboarding is that is it made switching from skiing to snowboarding ridiculously easy…
I tried skateboarding once. Skinned my knee, so I quit and took up mini-Doc.
thats some funny ass shit right there

@aintNoTele I wouldn’t trust me with your pedals, if I were you ๐ I can build shit fine with a real clean set of docs and a pre-picked parts kit, but mods, working from only a schematic, or god forbid debugging my mistakes is still a black art. I enjoy the process, it’s like building a model airplane or something, except when it’s done if I’m lucky the thing makes noise.
I wonder if Providence knows that the game started already
I was gonna hit Furthur in NYC this weekend…$70 x 2. Fuck. Ladyfriend is not gonna be down with that. shit
what’s up peeps? i have a sickness in that i just read the last 19 pages to catch up for the day. it was in some weird way a cool down from my work day.
i feel the need to once again share my music for the eveing.
a band called, The For Carnation – Self-titled release. Of course it’s on my mediafire list.
want to know something f’d up? as we’ve been looking at places to live, anywhere as far north as Lyons, CO down to north Broomfield. And at times in my decision making process I’ve thought about not wanting to live to far away from Red Rock or Broomfield for Phish. That’s disturbing to me. Ha.
lastly, i’ve met and hung with both (Not) Tom Marshall and El Dude, and neither were douches. actually quite pleasurable to kick it with.
evening folks, long day as our oldest and most beloved dog has been in the hospital. Had what we hope is successful back surgery this morning.
:fingers crossed:
full disclosure on lurk status – I read back to page 19 ๐
grabbed some albums after reading a little last night.
Enjoyed the Directions album @Tela’s, grazie
Just not a fan of tv on the radio though, probably not going to happen.

Spun a large chunk of Phish Destroys America while cleaning the house today. It always amazes me how stellar that mix is!
no prob Pig. I appreciate the feedback. I obsess when I try to turn peeps onto some tunes I really like and don’t get any feedback. It’s one of many Larry David-like quirks.
hope your dog is ok. being a dog owner, i can imagine your concern.
tela’s- thanks for your music suggestions- always dig ’em.
Back to Spring cleaning…
Oh, and best of doggie luck Pig!
thanks guys ๐ just trying to stay occupied the next few days
I was a spring cleaning maniac today – in a windows open, furniture moved, loud music, everything gets the treatment kind of way.
…No one recieving needs to make it into the Phish rotation..My favorite Brian Eno song ever..Phil Collins is actually on the drums, alot of people do not know that..
