  2. poop goblin Says:

    Huggsie ftw!

  3. bhizzle Says:

poop..that first Kershaw track wasn’t my thing but this second track, This Day and Time is where it’s at

gdad…just glanced at your mediafire…Bad Brains and Misfits? transport me back to the day boy!

  4. kayatosh Says:

nice track, gdad. viceroys. duly noted.

let me throw the name Peter Broggs out there:

  5. gavinsdad Says:

^with you on only listening to analog reggae AW. think it was the singers stuff from the mid 80s that started pushing me over the edge. by the time “strength of my life” came around i was accepting of it.

oh yeah, who didn’t pass large joints around to “greetings” by half pint in the late 80s? that’s full on digi drumkit steez.

  6. joe Says:

and I thought rap music ended around 1993 at the time. – although, I now recognize Biggy as legit. (Tupac less so. big ups to digital underground though)

Anyway, kind of a weird thought on the 14th anniversary of his death and how it relates to time. B.I.G doesn’t really feel that “old” to me. But, say on the 14th anniversary of Woodstock – I was almost 11 years old and you might as well have been talking about something that happened a million years ago…which is to say, I feel old now trying to discuss artists I was into with kids who like hip-hop. It’s like how I would’ve reacted to somebody telling me about Elvis.

  7. gavinsdad Says:

my mediafire is lagging bhizz…i gotta put up some newness….telas and voopa and AW and AJ among others have been holding it down pretty darn steady.

and yeah…nobody really does that much punk and hardcore on here so i don’t push it that much.

  8. kayatosh Says:

peter broggs — Rastafari Liveth is one of my favorite reggae albums.

  9. joe Says:

still sneak one or two by them and they are like “who’s that?”

  10. poop goblin Says:

Greetings is on one of the no whitey mixes

    Bhizzle

Def not for everyone but a very OG take on some roots styles. Jumps genres quite well

  11. gavinsdad Says:

sorry for the gavinsdad show…just feeling the topics:

Whatcha think all the guns is for?
all purpose war/got the rottweilers by the door
and I feed em gun powder/so they can devour
the criminals/tryin to clock my decimals
DAMN..niggas wanna stick my for my C.R.E.A.M.
And it ain’t a dream/things aint always how it seems
it’s the ones that smoke blunts witcha
see your picture, now they wanna
grab they guns and come and getcha

  12. gavinsdad Says:

you mean when you start talking about Twin Hype and Grandaddy I.U. @joe?

  13. joe Says:

the kids dig E.P.M.D. We had a big dance circle in the room at the end of the day before vacation last year for it. pretty funny.

  14. gavinsdad Says:

    those guys were the kings.

  15. joe Says:

luckily, I didn’t have to dance since not all the kids turned in their worksheets on-time. My moves are older than their parents…haha

  16. KWL Says:

bhizzle, bad joke based on a random driveby a while back… just got the different names saved on different devices i post from & too lazy to change

sumo, 6-10 isn’t pulling anything but the other 2 are… not sure if i’m on the right torrent, might just need a restart on my end

  17. bhizzle Says:

On Love City now…must have listened to Fisherman’s Luck 3 or 4 times..super song…LC is abit diff but…So was the pre or post rehab?

  18. Mike in Austin Says:

I love this ’11 MSG Simple. Seriously great stuff. This whole second set is great.

  19. albert walker Says:

did a few months in jail, then rehab. recorded the week he got out

first solo album ever. before that was in a famous cajun band with his brother Doug Kershaw

  20. neemor Says:

    Gdad:
I caught up to pg 9 and saw that the little guy was in surgery…hope you survived without too many new grey hairs…

  21. albert walker Says:

1/1/2011 II is my favorite set of 3.0

set I was hit or miss but if I wanted to send an old tour friend a shot that hasn’t heard any of 3.0 that’s the set I’d give them to show what this band is capable of

    love that shit

  22. Gavinsdad Says:

Thx neemor…to clarify…he was getting extensive work done on compromised molars….he doesn’t form strong enamel..plus a tooth yanked. Was over an hour of work so he had to get put under. We were very nervous about that. He was in good hands and came out fine. He also had a few cavities filled. And avoided temp crowns! Love honest Docs!

  23. BrandonKayda Says:

I don’t know @AW, I think 8/7/09 II still holds up really well – big jams in that set. Esp. the Gin, still hasn’t been topped.

  24. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

    1/1/2011>>>gorge 1

but gorge gin>than any other 3.0 jam

  25. poop goblin Says:

3.0 started in Miami for me

Chops weren’t quite up to snuff yet imo

I’m a Greek light msg sand cat for fav jams

    That gin smokes though
