kfl- there is decent pull from 3/4/11 on bt.etree i grabbed last week. I would check it out first before making the trek. It sounds good.

As for me, think about hitting furthur on their final stop in Boca. I’ll be down anyway visiting the rents and its on 45 minutes away. Something about seeing Furthur in Boca Raton, florida these days, just seems so right. Kinda like seeing then in Golden gate park in 71. 😉

Former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr dies

    That sucks

  3. bhizzle Says:

Is that because Boca is a place for old mofos?

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

    bhizzle- you got it !

  6. Luther T. Justice Says:

^Drug related. He had been on a bad relapse the past month and got busted a few weeks ago for possesion of xanax abd some painkiller I’ve never heard of. And Luther knows painkillers.

  7. Mr. Palmer Says:

he was a celebrity rehab graduate. Dr. Drew to the rescue. pfft

  9. Jtran Says:

    Morning BB

Spinning KP’s 7/31/97 remaster this morning

  10. Jtran Says:

I’d enjoy seeing further but I don’t think it’s worth the drive and costs associated with a trip to NYC

  11. KfL Says:

    how ’bout to binghamton 😉

  12. Jtran Says:

I checked Kfl. 30 minutes closer, but a weeknight. Definitely not worth vacation time (to me).

  13. DukeOfLizards Says:

Fun show at BK Bowl last night, boogied down with mitch and purp for a few hours.

It was my first time seeing Scofield live – guy just has licks for days. Such a unique and awesome player.

  14. lastwaltzer Says:

    was it with the trio?

  15. nonoyolker Says:

Willowed – glad you rocked out at Furthur! Boys are put on a hot show these days, glad i am not alone in my opinion.

Looks like they are playing Abbey Road, one song at a time, in order, each night – very cool. I also read that last night was a tribute to Pigpen on the anniversary of his death – hence, Easy Wind, Lovelight, Hard to Handle, etc. – with a “He’s Gone” in there to cap it off.

Jtran – also listening to 7/31 KP’s secret recipe remasters this morning. Hot show so far, haven’t spun in ages. I would do a backflip if the boys opened with Ghost these days and capped the first with a monster YEM. Need to break to the current setlist standardization in 3.0

  16. AintNoTele Says:

Love the start to this jibboo jam, slick work on the clav. Me thinks staccato grooves are here to stay. Epic win

  17. Luther T. Justice Says:

News Alert – Phil Collins is back to retiring. Brett Farve of music?

  18. Litteringandd Says:

OPT has a blurb about Toyota Parks website have phish related stuff up already. Just a FYI

  19. DukeOfLizards Says:

Nah he was sitting in as part of Bowlive – Soulive’s annual two-week stand at Brooklyn Bowl. Did a tune with the opening act (Nigel Hall Band) and a few tunes with Soulive. Def will check out his act next time he comes through the area.

  20. Jtran Says:

I’m no expert, but it seems like they opened with Ghost quite a bit in summer 97.

A different kind of setlist standardization 🙂 (that I’m sure people didn’t complain about. Or they did becuase people always complain)

  21. Guyute711 Says:

Luther, I heard he has been playing drums with some high school kids in Liverpool so we will see.

  22. lastwaltzer Says:

word, I’m sure that what good. Last saw soullive at lolla in 07 or 08 at like 11 am, was weird they had a vocalist for the whole set. Are they still doing that?

  23. SillyWilly Says:

“I heard he has been playing drums with some high school kids in Liverpool”

I mean, Phil realizes that formula has already been used, right??

  24. SillyWilly Says:

    and Good morning!

  25. lastwaltzer Says:
