palmer, pnc is on my radar – will likely be a game time decision post bethel – head north home or south to pnc…

  2. albert walker Says:

what time eastern tomorrow is Bethel?

damn sick Stash to close too.

rocking Gumbo with a slick segue into NICU

nice little weird, drugged out 99 first sets

  3. KfL Says:

legalize it and equal rights have pretty much been on repeat since yesterday’s tosh talk. any of his other albums as good as those 2?

  4. KfL Says:

believe bethel starts things off at 10am eastern tomorrow

  5. albert walker Says:

    nope. those are the 2.

  6. plord Says:

    1981? Go directly to the 5/6 “Bobby Sands” segment, He’s Gone->Caution jam->Spanish jam->Drums->Jam->Other One.

    As they say, Holy Shit.

  7. tela'smuff Says:

so are those rumored leg 2 dates complete speculation, or is there any truthiness behind them?

  8. voopa Says:

Anthem to Beauty is great. A must see.

  9. garretc Says:

I believe your guess is as good as anybody’s. There are some strange travel days (LA > WA then back, for one) though, so a grain of salt, of course

  10. voopa Says:

How could Phish sell out 2 mid-week nights at the LA Greek with a weekend at the Gorge right after? And 2 mid-week show in Tahoe after that? Please.

  11. joe Says:

favorite part was probably hunter saying he wrote the lyrics to (I forget which ones and Ripple) in one afternoon in London.

I still would have liked a little more of the technical how the album was made and here are some cool tidbits about the production/studio tricks ala Grishman catching jerry at the dead vs. jefferson airplane baseball game and being invited to do the mandolin parts the next day. (specific to American Beauty but did enjoy the context of the history of their albums nonetheless)

  12. joe Says:

anyone have a boxscore from that game? think jerry hit for the cycle…

  13. voopa Says:

Ripple, Attics and To Lay Me Down, all in one afternoon in England with a bottle of Retsina.

  14. voopa Says:

omg, I can hear myself screaming on the aud from the Trey Fox show at the end of Set 1 (from the balcony!)…borderline embarrassing, which means it will make for great self-deprecating party banter in the future, I guess…

  15. nonoyolker Says:

Props to JTran for calling out the Mike’s from 11/21/95 – haven’t spun in ages and honestly don’t remember the jam at all, but the last 4 min are bliss. Good looks.

UCONN v Cuse tomorrow, yes please.

  16. garretc Says:

    Did it sound something like

“Plllllaaaaayyyyy Waaaaaaaasssssstttteee! Please please please please plase!!!”

    I bet it did

  17. tela'smuff Says:

yeah. that’s what i was thinking. thanks.

anything else breaking today? this west coast time is weird on the BB because everybody calls it a night by 10:30. east coast time.

  18. garretc Says:

Yeah, different vibe in the evenings for sure…

  19. butter Says:

Pham B – no free time to kick it (visiting Mom)

    Flying home tomorrow night

  20. voopa Says:

More of just a series of “YEAAHHH”s, but I did have a glittered Jeniffer Dances sign…

  21. tela'smuff Says:

it’s funny that the height of activity is when people should be working and not chattering away on the internet. c’mon people! it’s about production! 😉

anyway, i’m listening to this version of Little Wing from the ABB show that Clapton sat in. THIS is the Clapton I wish we got on a regular basis. Great show this night. wish i could catch a ABB show at the Beacon.

  22. Mr. Palmer Says:

    You can watch them.

    I think its like $20 a show.

Next monday the MSG network is broadcasting a live show…for free. You probably don’t get the MSG channel though.

  23. garretc Says:

Yeah, I gotta catch an ABB show just in general at some point…

  24. garretc Says:

    @Mr. P

Tape that shit on a VCR and send it out to BBers!

  25. DukeOfLizards Says:

    Jennifer Dances.

    Jennifer Dances. Jennifer Dances!

(For my money, the #2 tweez of 3.0, FTR)
