The answer to that question is always “yes”…

  2. Jtran Says:

I also might not know what I’m talking about. I left when the reggae turned to rock. If that was Bad Brains that was me.

  3. SillyWilly Says:

    @Pham B

we’re here for you in anyway we can

  4. Mike in Austin Says:

    Hey BB.

@KP – Exactly 100% agree. Also, the bass groove in the holy ghost from 5:30 to 6:00 is infectious and I’ve woken up at 3 AM in the morning with that snippet on repeat in my head. Same with the Simple ending.

I fear that I’ve set myself up for the next time they play Ghost, it’s going to be a letdown.

That is so fantastic. The last version they played is one of the best I can remember.

what is this cristal wulf you speak of?

  6. Mr. Palmer Says:

Def. some bad ju-ju flowing around lately. I can’t figure it out. In the past 2 days i’ve learned that 2 former work colleagues, ages 47 and 48, both dropped dead. One of a heart attack, the other an aneurism. Leaving behind a total of 6 children.

Add that to many friends going through divorces and unsuccessful stints in rehab. While things on my home front have been fairly stable, there are beginning to be cracks in the armor. Stressful times we live in…sometimes we forget to live life and stop the worrying. I know i do.

  7. bouncin fan Says:

    good luck PB

IMO kicking is the easy part. putting back the pieces of your life back in proper order off the shit is the tough part.

    just keep moving forward man.

  8. P.S.H.S Says:

where’s chuck swed when you need someone to preach to the choir!

our field is rough on the cardiovascular system P

that sucks. my boss has heart issues in his early 40’s already

  10. Selector J Says:

    Yea, @jtran.
That was Bad Brains’ “Big Take Over.”
(btw, that ‘Dunes’ track that just came on totally sucks and was not me.)

Good luck to the Johnnies and the Orange. I’ve got a feeling that one will be ttight the whole way through.

Can’t wait for the next Carolina game. Heels are looking pretty pretty pretty good. Who wants a piece of Kendall Marshall right now?
    Answer = No one.
Dude was siiiiick during that Duke game. The spin move. The diagonal pass to Zeller. Just ridiculous stuff from this kid. Never underestimate the power of the PG. Completely new team with this guy getting full time minutes. Watch out Big East… UNC is coming for you in the tourney.

    uh… swed…

    @ Palmer

not to add to the misery but 2 nights ago one of my colleague’s 56 year-old-husband died of a heart attack while they were eating at a restaurant. also with them was a co-worker i work even more closely with, who is very tight with the widow.

    juju for sure.

  13. plord Says:

It’s tough out there all over. I’ve escaped the death and dying part so far, knock wood, but close friends struggling with rehab, check, legal separation with an undercurrent of violent mental illness, check, money and marriage troubles throughout the extended family, check, job issues a whirling hall of knives, check.

Then there’s the cousin who’s preggers with her first, loud boisterous children, and a new dog. Forever seeking the still point at the center. Think I’ll go play my guitar.

  14. Selector J Says:

Just saw your bottom page’d post @G711
    The answer was indeed yes.

  15. Guyute711 Says:

    Hey UNC, bring it!!

  16. plord Says:

that mental illness legal separation was also a close friend, not personal, just so we’re clear. All my troubles are first world problems involving work stress. Nothing Real with a capital R.

  17. kenny powers Says:

can it be tour already? or summer, period? i envy all of you in warmer climes. still looks and feels like winter in MA.

  18. Mr. Palmer Says:

“our field is rough on the cardiovascular system P”

^^ no doubt. Add that to the fact that we were all 2 blocks from the WTC when 9/11 occurred and returned to work three days later and breathed that shit in for months afterwards. I’m convinced this has negatively affected all our health.

  19. Robear Says:

saw Greensky Bluegrass last night in Arcata. Highly, highly recommended. Some fun loving, hard working cats. The best band no one has heard of! (except you cats, cuz i always bring em up)

Big love to you and yours Chef!

Silly, that stuff in Wisco ain’t funny.

Check this out kids, long read, a little background into the attack on the middle class, disguised as state budget woes.

  20. bhizzle Says:

Big Take Over…nice…Banned in DC? When I get my IT dept. to let me d/l a player for that damn pls I’m going to be requesting Sailin’ On

  21. phoammhead Says:

and to think, kendall marshall is a frosh! the poise in that kid is amazing!

  22. halcyon Says:

I am convinced, both by faith and experience, that to maintain one’s self on the earth is not a hardship but a pastime — if we live simply and wisely.

  23. Selector J Says:

dude… iTunes random is loving the Wulf today…

  24. Robear Says:

palmer, where’d you get those dates? no minus points, but a big ‘Nans’ in honor of the GB talk.

woke up just in time for ‘Crystal Wulf’

  25. garretc Says:

Pisses me off that they spent weeks claiming that taking away collective bargaining would be necessary to balance the budget, then they pass it through a loophole by taking out of the budget and calling it non-fiscal…

You have to at least give them credit for their blatant douchebaggery…
