@aj,
i was recently diagnosed with tinnitus as well, right after the Alpharetta shows last summer. I woke up one morning and my hearing was all fucked up in my right ear. Nearly a year, tens of doctor visits and a couple grand later and it still rings. Drives me fucking nuts and seriously has made it difficult to enjoy life sometimes. The most frustrating thing is they have no idea the cause or anything. I feel your pain, and wish you the best.
Prayin for ya AJ.
If you’re talking about the GD book, I dug it. Lotta cool personal stories, but also very dark and vengeful. I also really dug their lighting girl, candace brightmans book. Very, very good book imo. Keep yer head up.
Man, I feel for you guys. Kinda feel dumb because I worry and complain and get pretty down about things that are almost fully self-imposed, avoidable, and psychological.
live nation and still pulling GW Pav’s. It’s 7:30 p.m.
Come on you fucking North Eastener’s. This is our band. Did you fuckers here the Woosta 7 below? Did you here the MSG Ghost? Did you hear the Woosta Hood? Did you hear the 1/1 set 2?
2011 will be right as rain.
Wake up…..better yet, stay home and give me more dance space.
All good kp. Way better to talk it out than hold it in. Feel free. Best part about the BB imo.
I’m calling no NE festie. Oversaturation.
You talkin to me Willowed??? I’m too broke to buy ahead of time, mate. Doesn’t mean I love my boys any less!
I take umbrage! Umbrage I say!
thanks Bingos.
:: beats chest twice and floats the two sign up to the sky::
Not you brother, I know you will be in there.
I guess I am pissed with live nation
On the phone with the lady at 1:05 she was giving me shit about wanting better seats. She kepts dropping uncovered pavs on me. I was like…no, I need better….no, I need better…..no, I need better. Then I hung up on the bitch because hse was giving me tude.
Now I am pulling better pavs now at 7:30 p.m. than I pulled at 1:00 p.m.
Fucked I tell ya
and then Phish mail order drops lawns on me. What the fuck
Wow, best of luck AJ and chonz. Another reason to consider earplugs for shows, which I just haven’t been able to do yet…and the Fox show was LOUD.
AJ- Realized today that if that Midnight Special show was in the KPFA archives, Gans probably would’ve played it years ago. He hasn’t, to my knowledge. A while back he did play some vintage Jerry…w/Sara and Hunter at some Junior College Bluegrass Fest from like ’62…Jer spends like 5 minutes yammering between each tune. I don’t see how that would be entertaining at all, unless you were a scholar of the style at the time…
Yeah, Phil’s book is great. Finished it while I was in NYC for NYE, passed it on to Purple…
Dawn in Tokyo. Heartbreaking.
Scully’s book is pretty scandalous, but worth the read IMO.
I meant Japan. *luddite*
Agreed voopa. Entertaining. I footage get phils book, what’s the title?
I’ve got to get ^^. Stupid auto spell
@Mr. Palmer
Searching For The Sound
Loving Phils book right now, cool stuff, very positive. May have to read Scully for some dark side next. Which is the best of the Garcia books?
^ love that book.
Blair Jackson’s Garcia. Excellent. Plus, he has a website with additional material, corrections and updates.
Also read ” Dark Star” which is an oral biography by Robert Greenfield. Basically Garcia through the eyes of his friends and those closest to him. Also very good.
Wow AJ that’s some tough news, and right ahead of a big trip too.
My thoughts are with you man, let’s see how it all turns out – I hope it’s not as bad as you were saying it could be.
And above all, don’t google-catastrophize. Talk about driving yourself crazy…
Iām calling no NE festie. Oversaturation.
^ want some action on that @ Palmer?
Let me guess, if i win i get 6 bethel lawns? š
Your much more in the know than I, I’ll take your word. Just seems a bit much though, no? I mean, I live in the NE, i think its too much.
anyone ever read “Growing Up Dead” by Peter Conners?
always wondered if it is worth the read
