TTFF: The Comeback Year

10.30.09 (G. Lucas)

Tweezer > Light” 12.5 II

On of the most impressive jam sequences of Fall ’09 with one of the darkest and most abstract “Lights” the band had dropped to that point.

Wolfman’s > Piper > Joy” 10.30 II

10.30.09 (W.Rogell)

A dark-horse segement of 10.30.09 that may includes the most creative jamming of Indio.

Rock and Roll” 8.8 II

While the first night of The Gorge proved most magical, this jam from night two is, arguably, the most impressive of both.

Back On the Train” 12.30 II

12.29.09 (W.Rogell)

Amidst a song-driven show, Phish blew out an unsustpecting, mid-second set “Back On the Train,” and crafted one of the jams of the year in the process.

46 Days” 11.18 I

The dirtiest funk jam of Fall tour came in the first set of all.

Stash” 7.30 I

Red Rocks (G.Lucas)

This “Stash” from Red Rocks opening frame set the stage for a transformative weekend in Colorado.

Disease > Twenty Years Later” 11.24 II

One of the year’s most creative jaunts sprouted from this mid-set “Disease” in Philly’s first show.

Split Open and Melt” 11.21 II

This first-set “Split” in Cincy upped the bar for the song in the 3.0 era.

  4. Jtran Says:

For those thinking about grabbing the 12/31/98 DVD..

Looks like the playback issue has to do with VLC Media Player, and not the DVD files themselves. Apparently runs fine with Windows Media Player Classic.

Got your back on the Gordon, Kimmock, Krutz show. I stumbled across it and wanted to give everyone a heads up

  6. Mr. Palmer Says:

BEK tied up Phoamhead, duck taped his mouth shut, and threw him in the closet. Nice work! Not sure about Mike last night.

  7. AintNoTele Says:

    Hey Gavinsdad,

Just wanted to make sure that you got my replies to your email about your wife being in Milwaukee

It must have been a month or so ago, but if she has some free time Cal and his girl live in Milwaukee and are experts on the area

i talked to him and he’d be more than happy to give her some recommendations.

  10. Gavinsdad Says:

@silly – sure did. Sorry for lack of followup. According to my wife she has way too packed a work agenda this go round to do much exploring and I’m sure she’ll just be tapping out after long work days. Thx for following up.

So I am a music addict and shit, and always grabbing as much as I can. I listen to a ton of dj mixes, just my thing, so I dont always pimp them because Im a little jaded. Anyway, just grabbed the Ras G Beat Soup vol 3 mix and it is fucking slamming. In my mediafire. If you are into quality beats, super blunted and bassey, check it for sure. Play it loud.

  12. SillyWilly Says:

    Ok, cool, gdad.

Didn’t want the emails to not have sent or something, and you to think I ignored them

    so, good deal.

  13. lastwaltzer Says:

    how was the trip?

  14. angryjoggerz Says:

I was downloading some of your kids music for my nephew and the VA_-_Putumayo_Kids_Latin_Playground folder had no music in it.
Any way you could re-up that?
    much appreciated

  17. phoammhead Says:

    mmmmmmmmmm . . . . .mmm. . . . . mmmmmmmmmm

  18. angryjoggerz Says:

Calpain – will reup soon. Just put 2 new ones in the kids section, first i a putamayo kids folk playground one and the other is all chinese revolutionary songs sung by kids about chairman mao. probably not a fav around the house, but still interesting.

  19. Calpain Says:

AJ – cool, I’ll be sure to bust-out my little red book while listening to the mao salute! sounds good. excited for this Ras G. i’ve been downloading a lot of the migrashun mixes lately.

  20. SillyWilly Says:
