I am with everything you said Joe.

  2. Mike in Austin Says:

Listening to Blossom ’00 now. Ripping first set Maze. Super high quality stuff right here so far.

Everything in this Blossom show is amped up a bit and sparkles. Even the Guelah is a little tinged with a halo.

I just don’t get a July festival. I know I’m on my own here, but that’ll be a really local festival. People get summer jobs and internships, etc. Take breaks to see family. Kinda tough to take time off there to see Phish. On August 16th? You just lie to your manager or parents and say school starts up a week early or something.

    I think it’s a big miscalculation.

  3. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

i don’t care when the festi is as long as it’s before september

  4. thedayman Says:

i need a fourth of july fest, goddam that would be splendid. start school literally the second day of august, not gonna be able to swing a fest later in da month.

  5. BingosBrother Says:

Isn’t Bethel basically a festival? I’m not sure a true Festival is as much as a lock as most people. 2 shows sold out? This is basically 2 A.C.(After Coventry)right? Seems like our community is shrinking.

  6. KWL Says:

I got married that Sept so I was trying to get it in before getting hitched

    see y’all on leg 1.

first beeline post. didn’t burn the house down.

  7. butter Says:

Bethel is not a festival in the sense, there are no three day passes or braclets, usually you need some sort of GA involved, thats how Telly helped turn into a mini festi

but with it being in the woods and all i’m sure it will be quite festive

  8. butter Says:

    first bee line post….lol

  9. beepaphone Says:

    “when’s UIC?”

I hope this happens. Checked the GB for murmurings and it seems to be gaining steam. I actually bartend at a brand new Italian joint directly across the street from the UIC pavilion entrance. By this time next year, I’ll probably have a reliable source on the goings on there, but for now? Nothing.

Stop in and try the Mussels Marinara or the Schlitz on tap 🙂

And I’m not telling the MGMT I’m taking off for the Phish shows, just to have them see me cut out right as a bunch of stinking wooks come in and bleed the place dry. Definitely gotta tell them I’m going outta town so I’m not tempted to go in there with a headful, knamean?

  10. KfL Says:

i will never not use beeline again

  11. beepaphone Says:

“okay, if phish throw the UIC run, i’ll buy drinks at the nearest bar for all bbers for an hour!”

  12. beepaphone Says:

^The barkeep will be a russian blonde named Irina. Take good care of her.

  13. BingosBrother Says:

Which joint beep? Was driving down Taylor a few days ago and noticed a few new places. UIC would be too good to be true right now. Been way too long since Chicago got a lotta love.

  14. BingosBrother Says:

    “a russian blonde named Irina.”

  15. beepaphone Says:

Salatino’s. Might have been called Rico’s at that location back when Phish played there in the 90’s. All old school throwback spaghetti and meatballs, braciole, southern Italy type stuff. Good Italian wines. Good prices. The entrance is literally a couple hundred feet from the pavilion. Make your reservations before the wooks get in. There’s an affiliated pizza place right there too, brand new, called Dough Boys, and is already winning awards for their pizza.

  16. sumodie Says:

trippin balls w/ Kid Rock by nightwas so hysterical I almost pissed myself +5 in the sumo book

That was an awesome guest appearance, one of my fav. Always thought the naysayers took it way too seriously -c’mon, we were in Vegas, baby!

Otherwise I could care less about Kid Rock

  17. beepaphone Says:

Sweet girl though, and she’s likely going to be in hell without her normal partner, especially on what will, in theory, be an epically busy 3 days.

  18. halcyon Says:

I am seeding this and these are some sick sick grooves

    Opened for the Dead.

If anyone has trouble, I can try another way tonight or tomorrow to bring it to you.
