Weigh = One of Phish’s best guitar lick/hooks written by Mike…
    Go figure

vegas: I can’t say enough good things about that set. that funky bitch jam is one for the ages – a psychedelic journey that had me laughing out loud by the end. they were so creative and tuned into each other back then.

spinning some 12.18.99 highlights now. just finished dog log. love that tune.

    The House…

Bindi my dog, seems to be the deciding factor… We’re hoping the landlord approves

man, Foam in ’94. That’s the way it was meant to be. They aren’t messin’ right out of the gates on this 11-22-94 set.

hilarious. forgot how quiet phans could be back then, when the band got quiet. This Foam is really great. amazing it could go from that to what it became by Fall ’97.

i got to hit both saturday and sunday furthur here in ny. really great. had tickets with a nice crew for saturday, and somewhere after the show my wife says “we should come back tomorrow”. so in the AM we agreed why not, if we can, and i spent some time on craigslist. found a girl in queens selling for face, provided i drive out to her place and pick them up. hooked her up with an extra treat, and turns out her tix were 15th row or so, really nice. saturday we were in row b of the 2nd balcony, dead center, which was awesome. the balcony bounced a good 4-8 inches when the music was on. craziness.

not too many guitars last night, as someone asked earlier. larry campbell was on a fiddle for much of his time, and elvis added some nice rhythm and occasional licks. kadlicek sat back in the pocket it seemed. the morning dew was a highlight for me, and many others in the crowd. days between is pretty special, i enjoyed that, and the jam->fever (nina simone? peggy lee?) was great. that featured diana krall (who happens to be married to elvis costello) on piano and vocals. very nice.

overall winner for me was set 2 saturday night, just perfect flow and energy. felt pretty liquid-y oozing with trippiness, and the floyd eclipse was awesome.

    back to work for me.

This Bike is a lot whackier than the one from Civic Arena in 95

  14. Spasm Waiter Says:

So far, Furthur from last night sounds pretty sweet. Finishing Jed now.

I marked the supposedly better 11.22.94 source with an ‘A’

the list will only grow as I’ve just started tracking shows like this

re: the Chance Fisher show posted

Set 1: Chill funky first set
Set 2: The meat of the show.. pretty much one big segue fest, and heavy and psychedelic… meant to be listened to as a collective
Set 3: Tire, emotional, and drunk. A lot of highlights, but some places we need a little forgiveness πŸ˜‰

Almost 12 mins left to this Lexington YEM and already worth the price of admission.

    Sup y’all.

Spun some summer ’10 in the car this weekend – Toyota and Hartford 2, specifically – after spinning mostly either 1.0 or late 2010 for the past month.

Definitely hot shows, but also made me realize how happy I am that the Ocedoc came along and killed the whale. While it for sure works in some tunes (Toyo Reba + Light), it just seems like a crutch everywhere else. The Toyo Wolfman’s in particular was an instance where Mike, Page, and Fish were laying down a hot, double-stuffed steak and cheese hot pocket, and Trey’s whaling kind of fell flat.

What I’m saying is, Phish was the best live band going in June ’10, and now they are better. Who’s got my hetty wormhole time warp to Memorial Day weekend?

  22. Kaveh Says:

    @kaveh: I got that 9.12.99 torrent fixed -it’s 100% seeding now

    ^ Thanks man!
