Heh- that plane was from ’96! Those short hoppers take a beating. Glad at least something prompted them to take a look now.
I fly so much I try not to think about it, but mostly I do the big routes. The pilots on the international flights are pretty senior. Did Chi>SFO today, third time in 2 weeks, jeez.

The allure of the Gorge, on my birthday is significant. I’m tempted to drive that bitch from Denver>Gorge>Tahoe>Denver. Could be fun. Maybe what my burnt ass needs. I’d need at least 2 others to share the ride with me.
otherwise, voopa, if you needed someone to share the LA lodging costs I could be for that. i’m thinking i might fly into LA on the 6th and see what’s shakin. I’ve got to know somebody around there.

Sounds good tela’s…we’ll see how it shakes out. Plenty of cheap motels on Hollywood Blvd., plus there’s tons of other options not far.
Right now Southwest is the only option for me, $90 round trip. Expedia’s cheapest was $280, and no non-stops (Phoenix? Really?), with the quickest one-way being like 5 hours or something. Haven’t checked other airports, but you can’t really beat Burbank…35 minutes from the Bowl in traffic.
i have suspicion that RLM is working Phish/DMB in Colorado for Labor Day. i’ve seen some mutterings of this.

UIC. Fuck. This will be insane.
I’ve said this before, but I’m the bartender at, by far, the closest bar to the Pavilion.
Litterally right across the street from the shakedown lot, and caddy-corner to the entrance. We always get tons of business from UIC Pavilion events.
I’m not trying to shamelessly promote, as I will be at the shows, not working. However, if I were a traveling phan wanting to book extremely convenient dinner reservations for before the show that aren’t too expensive, I’d want to go to opentable.com and book a res for Salatino’s.
I had fun being the messenger to the manager today of the upcoming shit-show what will be Phish at UIC.
I can’t wait for these shows.
