Oh yes. Thank You Mr. Miner.

  2. voopa Says:

    Great picks!

  3. Corey Says:

two things: it finally happened to me. waking up to something crawling on your back, remaining still to be sure you felt movement. grabbing said crawly between two fingers and carry in the dark to the bathroom. what’d I snag? a spider.

put him/her in a deod. cap and gently set free out the window. always hear about the things we eat at night…can’t wait to share this with my wife when she wakes.

second, thank you @Mr. Miner, as your uic audio choices have cemented my round two tour plans. uic for the win. so, again, thank you very much.

  4. Corey Says:

third, and fourth! I will now try to go back to sleep.

  5. Corey Says:

fifth and out…will we get a groundbreaking (figuratively speaking) nicu at uic? hmm.

  10. st8 of mind Says:

  11. bhizzle Says:

Thanks Miner for today’s post. I love it when it’s nothing but jams with a lil description.

I received an email from phish.net wishing me a happy anniversary the other for for my first phish show. 17 years ago! As my little girl would say “DANG!”

  12. ThePigSong Says:

second cup of coffee and Mikes Song is working just fine this AM. Thanks MrM

  13. fat bastard Says:

    time to pimp detroit

  14. bhizzle Says:

Does Trey still rock out like the end of that Mind Left Bowie? Love the lil Hendrix medley at the end.

  15. The Flesh Says:

Any NYers heading out to the gorge? I’m trying to figure out a trip, and may be heading solo. I’ve been wanting to head out there for 10 years and have yet to cross this off my list. I am thinking this year is the year, even if none of my friends want to head out there. What is the typical trip itinerary, 1-2 days in Seattle? Drive to gorge – drive back and fly home? Any ideas for a great trip? Anyone down to coordinate something?

  16. nonoyolker Says:

News of UIC sent me into an early week respinning of the entire ’98 run, which lead to a full court press of ’98 summer and fall tour material. It has been a staggering tailspin of awesome. Seemingly, each night had something unique brought to the table. (Portland Tweezer, Gorge 2001>Mike’s, Ventura Gin, Desert Sky Ghost, Woodland’s Wolfie – you get the picture)

Not enough can be said about the UIC ’98 run. I always kept the AC/DC>Ghost, Gin, Free in rotation, but the whole weekend is solid top to bottom. Some really top shelf jamming, with some all-time versions strewn throughout.

Chi town beware, shit is going to pop off

  17. fat bastard Says:

detroit people beware of the second set: motor city jam>my left foot

  18. Jtran Says:

Small music festival 45 minutes from me in VT that was real fun last year announced their line up. Headliners are Some band with 2 guys from Bisco and Everyone Orchestra featuring Michael Kang.

    Probably no longer going.

  19. kenny powers Says:

    Jtran

are you flying to Seattle for Gorge? know of any flight deals i don’t know about? i kayak’ed it and the prices are mad expensive, like upwards of $500 round trip.

i need to see the boys play there before i die…why can’t flights to Seattle be as cheap as LAX?

  20. Jtran Says:

    @KP

Yea I’m flying, but luckily have frequent flyers to cover it. When I was looking on kayak I was seeing 471 from Burlington and maybe a bit cheaper from Boston.

I haven’t looked around the exact dates thought because I think I’m making the trip a weeklong vaca to WA July 30-Aug 7

  21. BingosBrother Says:

Nothing to see here folks. Move along.

  22. Kaveh Says:

    Good morning everyone.

@Miner: thanks for the UIC song selection; looking forward to going through these today.

  23. Mr. Palmer Says:

chicago folks- we are coming to your town, we’ll help you party down.

  24. cal Says:

Morning magpies. UIC hype is getting way outta hand for April. Let’s get through June first!

Although despite just having the “Reba” above, that 11-26-94 show is awesome, particularly the “Split” and sweet Mike’s Groove.

Just imagine the collective groan when that 4-minute “Bag” opens the second set on 8-17-11. UIC’s gonna suck. Six minutes into the “Ghost” jam>HORSE, mark my words.

  25. Kaveh Says:

@Palmer: It’s early for me, no coffee yet, but well played. Did you get a chance to listen to either of those two matrix’s yet?
