@kp, imitially had the utica set on preorder from cd universe until I realized it was going to be more than just the dvd. Saw the cheap price and went with it. Gotta go through PHiSH to get the cds and i90s disc. But, Manch and AC seem to be no different.

  2. Jtran Says:

    @KP/Lycan

I did that a couple months ago. There’s some really great stuff. The one thing I did find is that I was pretty happy having show highlights instead of full shows..much less uneventuful first sets (imo) in general than the years both preceding and after.

If you guys are gona do this count me in (again). Gotta start with the 10/29?/98 Reba

  3. Spasm Waiter Says:

Question for Ipod users. The only way I can get my wifes ipod on is by reseting it with center button/menu button hold down technique. Almost everytime, i must use this tech to turn it on. It apparently has a somewhat weak battery as well.
Is it toast? Should I scrap it/sell “as is” on ebay or might there be a fix?

  4. Bad Nirvana Cover Band Says:

lycan, can’t go wrong with fall ’98. even the cu$ty shows were hot, hot, hot!

check 11/24/98 if you can find it. the UIC run, the Worcester run, Kohl Center, Van Andel. $$$ shots, all the way around.

  5. Corey Says:

    ^iNitially…

  6. Mulitbeast Says:

@Corey – Thanks for the detailed response! I hear ya on the desire to buy the DVD/CD box after being there. I was at AV 2010, had a ball and so it was a no brainer that I pick that up. I have been loving the AV DVD for sure. I already purchased the Utica show this past fall via live phish, and absolutely love it. The fact that they filmed it in a way that allows the viewer to experience the acutally light show is definately interesting. I would like to buy the UTICA, the Greek remasters, and the Manchester remaster. Hell…throw in the Japan for charity show and I get free shipping from our friends at live phish.

    @Lycan

Be sure to check out the 10/29/98 Reba – just spun that last night.

You’re hitting Gorge?! Nice! Those shows will be special. Pretty lame that they’re covering the stage background though :/

  8. Robear Says:

miner, the quality of sources you have been using for JOTD’s seems to be going up, up, up! Is there a change, or is it because I recently cleaned my ears?

  9. Spasm Waiter Says:

Sorry to repost a bottompaged msg:

Question for Ipod users. The only way I can get my wifes 2nd gen Nano ipod on is by reseting it with center button/menu button hold down technique. Almost everytime, i must use this tech to turn it on. It apparently has a somewhat weak battery as well.
Is it toast? Should I scrap it/sell โ€œas isโ€ on ebay or might there be a fix?

  10. Robear Says:

i have a quirky old iPod too, Spasm. not sure what to tell you. i keep mine around so as not to have to put that music on a newer one.

  11. Corey Says:

@Multibeast, sure. I forgot about the extra camera(s). All the more reason to buy.

Oh, and thank you for hi-lighting where my last paycheck went.
The last lines read: check, check and checky checky check check.
And now for my next paycheck…do I c UIC?

  12. Corey Says:

^all the more reason?!? I’m slo wl y los ing my abil. to write good (stiller ref).
    Gotta work on that.

  13. Spasm Waiter Says:

I have yet to find a great media player. Even the Poweramp app on my Droid is twitchy. It forwards to next song when the boys are in the thick of some hetty jamz. Fucks me all up.

  14. Mulitbeast Says:

@Corey – No problem! Happy to help. The Phish from Vermont will continue to get my hard earned dollar. I happily bend over and take it. Dammit.

  15. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

say what you will, but I personally like Nothing
    no, not nothing, Nothing

  16. Robear Says:

hardest working band in the bizness.

  17. Kaveh Says:

@KP and @Palmer: Been reeling through the Camden matrix….really nice once you get a couple songs in and your ears adjust to the mix. Quite the end to the first set and a really good second set. Nice to revisit this show.

  18. Guyute711 Says:

Dying for a beer today. I need to hold off and save the money for tour but….

  19. Robear Says:

G-7, the beer today will be cheaper than the one at the venue ๐Ÿ˜›

  20. Luther T. Justice Says:

At DTE, if you are on the lawn, your drink will spill. It is STEep. Free refills on non-achoholic, but for alcohol, they’re gald to take your money again & again.

  21. Luther T. Justice Says:

Treat yourself to some Beast @Guyute and remember your glory days in Dayton, a.k.a the Gem City.

  22. voopa Says:

One beer wont hurt G711…I started my tour fund by not drinking vodka for the last 4 days. Still drinkin’ beers, but this will save me at least $40/week…

  23. Guyute711 Says:

I don’t know if I can get a case of Beast for $7 anymore. I wouldn’t pay a penny more.

  24. Guyute711 Says:

and here I thought I would be persuaded not to drink. Enablers!!!!

  25. Robear Says:

voop-star, don’t you have a costco nearby? they make it affordable for everyone to drink high-end spirits.
