  2. Robear Says:

g-7, i figured your at work, so any comment would be torture!

  3. Lycanthropist Says:

kinda sad i would be missing the BBBBQ in Charlotte if i hit Gorge

but damn… dunno if i would get an offer like that from the missus again

  4. SillyWilly Says:

    Guyute

Beast was up to 9.99 for a 30 rack when I was at UD.

    state minimum.

  5. Guyute711 Says:

Wait what lycan, no southern swing?
One beer turns in to twelve beers for me in the blink of an eye. My problem right there.

  6. Guyute711 Says:

At work Robear but not working for the rest of the day in protest. They had me do all kinds of stuff today, pricks.

@ Kaveh, I hear you – at times I’m not sure and then I compare to the straight SBD and straight AUD and def prefer the MTX.

His new ‘Roo night 1 matrix is reeeallly nice. In a way I actually prefer the “music only” from the AUD, in terms of there being beefy bass and an in-your-face festival FOB punch, put during quieter passages the talkers can get a bit annoying. the matrix marginalizes the talkers and there’s still decent bass in there. not a ton of music in that set i’d revisit often besides the KDF but still nice to have a sweet source.

haven’t listed to it in a while but my pick for best AUD for ‘Roo night 2 is one of the best AUDs from June 09.

  8. kenny powers Says:

if his ‘Roo matrix had a bit more bass I’d actually prefer it to the JB one.

  9. Robear Says:

lol @ g-7. stick to the bane. less hang over. not sure about the cost aspect out there, though.

  10. BTB Says:

Been on the road with work for a bit. Nice to see the dates drop! Much needed dates for the left coasters

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

it is always a good idea to marginalize the talkers.

  12. Mr.Miner Says:

fall ’98 is likely the most underrated tour. Shit is bomb…people cream over ’97 so much it gets lost in the fray.

  13. Mr.Miner Says:

    @ Rob. ear cleanage…

  14. Tray Anastasio Says:

Nice Hendrix tease assortment at the end of MLBowie there

  15. Lycanthropist Says:

    @guyute

well if we decide to do the Gorge, I dont think i will be able to afford to do the Southern swing too… and getting off work for both would be very difficult as well

  16. Robear Says:

    lololol miner!

fall’98 is almost too much sometimes. wanna’ go back.

just listened to 11/28/98 yesterday. that one gets swept under the rug.

hadn’t heard these UIC gems you posted today. cha-ching!

  17. voopa Says:

Robear- Very true. Plenty of opportunities around here to drink for a reasonable price; that’s my problem right there. Been doing way too much of it. mrs v said I could go to whatever shows I want to this Summer if I limit myself to 1 bottle a week. Nice of her, eh? Just wish I really could do ALL the shows I want to…

  18. Lycanthropist Says:

    yeh thanks alot Miner

these were pretty much all first time listens for me…

    great stuff

  19. Guyute711 Says:

2nd leg is making everyone skip the shows I am attending. :shakes fist in air:

  20. joe Says:

this Bowie is so sick. Mr. Miner once again digging in and providing the goods.

  21. Lycanthropist Says:

well no decision has been made yet

we havent figured out total cost and compared yet

but we have been itching to travel to the west coast for a while

and we both have wanted to see a show at the Gorge for a while too

seems like a good opportunity to do it this summer.

  22. joe Says:

youthful energy that can’t be replicated these days. hard as we and they may try

  23. Guyute711 Says:

I need to make it out to the Gorge at some point myself or , gasp, actually go on a non Phish related vacation. Not happening this year.

  24. bouncin fan Says:

    I’ve always preferred 98 to 97

the more ambient developments vs the wah heavy cow funk

  25. bouncin fan Says:

anyone that doesn’t know the Madison Split the night before UIC 98 should also check it out

funky, funky SPLIT i just recently was reminded of
