nice on the frequent flyers Jtran. i have enough credit card points to cover like $160 of a flight, but i need that to be most of the flight. which is why i’m thinking UIC may be more likely. but who knows, i may have to choose b/w UIC and SBix. i have to say, i really miss the old school northeast festie.

  2. cal Says:

    …er, 11-25-94 I meant.

  3. fLippingBackward Says:

May take my step sis to her first Phish show at UIC. She has been begging me for years. I think it’s time.

  4. Mr. Palmer Says:

Kaveh- i spun the Camden matrix. Well done again by our friend, randomreader. Not as good as JB, but its the sources he’s working with. Love the Sand ( i had fallen out of love with it at one point) and the Tweezer is a great ripping 13 minute version to close a show. Like it in that slot actually.

Didn’t grab the bonaroo set. That set never did anything for me.

  5. neemor Says:

Some great stuff to dive into here, Miner.
    Thanks as usual.
UIC looks like a nice venue, certainly some great history.
Is this venue a “must-see” to go on the list of venue’s I should hit before I die?
I did Star Lake, Deer Creek and Blossom among others over the past few years in an effort to step back into time with the band in no insignificant way.
    Does UIC fit this bill?
I think historically it may, but is it worth the drive from CT?

  6. Spasm Waiter Says:

Hey Folks- Long Island weather blows!! Miner, thank you for the tunes on this dismal weather day here in NY. Cannot wait to dive in for a walk through UIC Phishtory.

    Go Pens.

  7. lumpyhead Says:

is the drive worth it from TX is the question….

  8. TheSloth Says:

Wasn’t UIC on 11.25.94 the first glow stick war? That was fun. As was the disco truck post show, which was around for most of the late 1994 shows.

  9. Mdawg Says:

The only bad part about the U.I.C. run is having to go to work every morning. Knowing there is another show that night will get me through the day I guess.

    Phish = Vacation/Sick day destroyers

  10. neemor Says:

    MDawg, indeed.
Those are long days at work.
But I love knowing that there’s a show that night, seems to make the days fly and nothing can ruin my good mood on those days.

  11. neemor Says:

Sloth, all legend points to Red Rocks being the first glowstick jam, but I wasn’t there to know for sure.

  13. Mr. Palmer Says:

Hey neemor! Don’t think UIC is going to win any beauty pageants but is still a pretty sweet little place to see phish. I’ve never been, but i get the impression its like Hampton’s little dirty brother. Am I way off?

Neems- Leg1 plans. you still down for Holmdel? I got a couple tix for you still.

  14. neemor Says:

    Palmer, I’m dying for Phish.
    Hold a single for me.
The ’00 PNC Antelope is still one of my faves.

  15. sumodie Says:

the fabled disco truck! good times indeed 8)

this slacker needs to give the ’98 UIC run a first time spin

    mornin’ all

Augusta Light holds up. diggin’ the gooey outro jam before the transition into 20YL. it’s no Greek Light, but it’s a damn fine version.

you know you are a tired new dad when the songs that run through your head throughout the day are Sleep, Sleep Again, Sleeping Monkey…

  24. butter Says:

no “purple rain” from 11.25.94 Miner?
