  2. Robear Says:

Enjoy cOw! What a great venue, Alpharetta. I have vivid memories of last years run.

  3. nonoyolker Says:

That last pic is $$$. And 21 pts?!? Well played Brandon! That is some Jedi mind shit

Was traveling for work today, so I went through a solid review of most of summer tour so far. Man, you know the first 2 days of Bethel were hot when the first set Jim and second set Maki are both hot (and nowhere near highlights). I echo many sentiments of frustration posted earlier, especially since i caught Bethel 3, Pnc 1 (pretty hot show), Pnc 2, and Mansfield. They just came out so open and ready to get out there – my hopes for this tour were through the roof.

Feel like many are sleeping on GW R&R though – that jam is official. Definitely on the mantel for jams of the summer thus far.

Not sure how this leg is going to end, but at the very least, have fun out there folks.

  4. voopa Says:

    Wow, 21 points. Congrats!

i’m already blanked on contest 2.

it’s amazing that at MPP2, Alaska was longer than Harry Hood. just on the geek timer side of things, that blows my mind. i know, musical density. just an observation.

have fun in Hotlanta folks! Be safe!

  6. voopa Says:

Just purchased my flight to Burbank…

    /cu$ty’d again

  7. Henry Says:

Sometimes I feel SBD’s really disconnect me from the show. A show I may feel is average, or “flat” through a crisp, crystal clear soundboard will sound much more engaging when I can pair it with the energy and feel of the crowd more, something that is more accurately expressed with a good aud. Some of the shows and jams of the past weekend I have enjoyed much more in AUD form, and i truly think hearing the crowd makes all the difference. Every phish show is not the universal greatness of a live album (which sbds essentially are) and hearing how the crowd and music go together can really help put perspective on a show.
I will say for the best jams (DTE dwd, bethel waves, etc) I prefer the crisp sbd
    Just my .02

    Nice work, Señor Miner!

Before I fould this place I would have been lost in terms fo getting my phish coverage. Keep on, keeping on.

  10. Al Says:

Miner – I reserved my copy of the book. But, by the way, how much is it going to cost?? + shipping to Germany….

  11. BrandonKayda Says:

pigpen’s last show was at the hollywood bowl

  14. ThePigSong Says:

hey folks, I just got home from a week away and I still do not have my tickets for tonight. Email says UPS delivered them almost two weeks ago, but I haven’t been here to check. Reading the music today policy it says no refunds and no day of show requests.

Has anyone else been in this situation with PTBM?

  15. Laurville Says:

    yikes

  16. Andrew Says:

Check with your neighbors Pig? Get on the phone and ask if they can void the issued tickets and set you up at will call. Kill’em with kindness.

  17. Hoedown Says:

My mail order SPAC 04 never came. I called music today and they set aside my tixs at Will Call. Was a pain cause they wouldn’t let me get both nights at once. Had to hit Will Call both days. And the kicker my tickets showed up in the mail 2 months after the show.

  18. Foul_Domain Says:

Did you check that UPS didnt attempt to deliver and end up holding them? It might be that they were marked as delivered even though they were not left at the door. Ive had that happen before and my package was held at the distribution center.

    Hope you work something out.

  19. Foul_Domain Says:

That ‘Steam’ vid is pretty cool

  20. phoammhead Says:

4 hrs at then then off to the races . . er, um . . . i mean southern cross! 🙂

hope everybody enjoys the last five of this leg.

  21. willowed Says:

    21 points…Nice work Brandon

I wonder how I did. I should have kept track of my picks.

    Have fun down south boys!

  22. phoammhead Says:

*at work . . . as you can see i’ve already mentally left work!

  23. btb Says:

Pig- tell them what happened and they can hook you up at will call. I did this for Deer Creek in 09

  24. kenny powers Says:

    @ Henry

agreed 100%!!! the crowd energy in the AUDs is palpable and adds a lot to the listening experience. and certain other things come across totally more intense in AUD form, like Mike’s bass bombs in the Blossom Sally. the sonic difference between the percussive slap and the resonating note is so stark and lovely. mmmm, auditory butter…..
