TTFF: Tour Bookends

The Gorge '09 (W.Rogell)

With the Gorge exactly one week away, let’s take the final Friday before tour to review a few seminal jams that have gone down at both the Gorge and leg two’s closing locale, UIC Pavilion. Though some of these tracks have been posted before, they have the type of timeless staying power to warrant hearing again. A five-five split between the Gorge and UIC brings the last week before tour to an end. Enjoy the music…leg two awaits!

congrats, silly and safe travels to everyone heading out on tour.

nearly 20 years since my first show and the Phish fire still burns bright. Phish rules.

aw: fundamentals stink, have for a while now. recovery petered out fast (if it ever got going at all). There should be some short covering today, so chasing the short side is ill advised. Shorts have been conditioned to fear mondays. ahh, but this time could be different. definitely a different dynamic w/o POMO $ finding its way into stocks on every dip.

  2. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

enjoy mt. jeff. great hike up to there. you staying in a hut or tenting it?

enjoy these salad days. go get it!

so so jealous you are hitting CO. wish there was a way I could too. i’ll just have to live vicariously through you. start training your lungs so you don’t go wook down.

  3. kayatosh Says:

gonna be doing some serious vicarious living during leg II. no shows planned. any official simulcasts or live streams on tap?

  4. albert walker Says:

No doubt Kaya. Data last few months has been shitty at best. These GDP revisions basically take out the chance of any kind of 2H recovery. All the street economists were still leaning towards a 2H pick up.

I went to all cash a few weeks ago. Just picking my levels in certain names I’d like to start nibbling at. I’m hoping some good global growth names with nice dividends get whacked here.

    Ugly, ugly GDP #’s

    Futures still above 1280

Living the dream Silly, you young buck.

  6. kayatosh Says:

aw: thanks for sharing. You may not be top dog at your fund, but you seem to have a natural feel for this game. Didn’t think the mrkt. had more downside after 3 PM, but you were right. another ugly close.

confidence is the lifeblood of investing and confidence stinks right now and rightly so.

want to trade today, but not sure where to go. sit on hands is probably best. fuck me.

  7. kayatosh Says:

time for tea and a spin of the camden 2011 curtain w/ and DWD (still catching up w/ miner).

  8. GoingSouth Says:

I mentioned this yesterday, but I’m going to say it again because I simply cannot get enough. Camden’s curtain is incredible.

    Any thoughts on that?

  9. kayatosh Says:

i’m on that curtain now. gorgeous. great feel.

  10. GoingSouth Says:

    listen for mike around 12:35-12:50

  11. Summer98 Says:

  14. Luther T. Justice Says:

Do you still have the same email address? I want to send you pics of this great find I got in Clifton yesterday. It’s a 70s record/cassette/8-track player/w radio and built-in disco lights that move to the music. I thought you’d appreciate it.

  15. DukeOfLizards Says:

built-in disco lights that move to the music

Sumo – saw you’re making CO. nice.

Luther – i would love to see that!!!! sounds awesome. sounds like i need to send you a special record to play on that thing. funkybch gmail

Voop – that show is one of my all-time favs of any show/band. i realize it’s not the greatest Dead show or whatever, but there is some sentiment attached to it for me on many levels. really happy you helped me grab that copy. See you in Tahoe!

  21. kayatosh Says:

looks like i’m spinning all of 6.10.2011 set II. great set so far. liking it much more now than I did live. probably a little too partied up.

  22. kayatosh Says:

how does china have a lower credit rating than the US? downgrade of US debt is highly likely.

    legalize IT.

  24. kayatosh Says:

    6.10.2011 swept away jam $$$

  25. Mr palmer Says:

Only buyers today are short covering. Can’t imagine many are going home long over the weekend, last day of the month. 1280 is the key, no doubt. I say flush em.
