TTFF: Tour Bookends
With the Gorge exactly one week away, let’s take the final Friday before tour to review a few seminal jams that have gone down at both the Gorge and leg two’s closing locale, UIC Pavilion. Though some of these tracks have been posted before, they have the type of timeless staying power to warrant hearing again. A five-five split between the Gorge and UIC brings the last week before tour to an end. Enjoy the music…leg two awaits!

easy, dude.
mounds are good.
it’s like they don’t have the confidence to sing and play the difficult time signature like the old days.
It’s a valid observation phoamm. There’s no denying it
do I love mound ? Yes.
not true, dude. they had difficulty playin’ those songs even back then. . . phish songs are not easy to play.
I will have to check a couple 1.0 Mounds. I saw 3 this year after never seeing one before and I really enjoyed all of them. Cincy which I thought was great, the Alpharetta double dose of Mound and Super Ball which I just listened to and loved.
dude, pull those two brushfire youtube vidies
the first is 5 min
the second is 50 min or so and the second song is china cat sunflower
i politely disagree phoamm
^i’m interested to hear what you think about them
Brushfire vids?
phish can’t sing and play their instruments at the same time anymore. i agree.
yeah, no sweat, dude . . .
look back a page
i’m specifically talking about about the difficult time signature in Mound DF.
smart ass

anyone up for a little soul sesh on the tt?
flying to tahoe a week from today, wootz!
I’m not familiar with any 1.0 mounds, not sure if I’ve even heard one. All i know is I saw 2(or is it 3) this summer, and sbix was a lot of fun. Holds up on playback to this n00b.
Which reminds me I need to get back to the atl timber.
yep. I was calling out myself.
Aj- getting pumped for UIC. You working those days? Wed will the day that i will have the most time to work with. I hope we can put something together. A nice get together, bb style in chicago. I’ll be staying at the Burnham with Gdad and others.
G711- I can understand your hatred of Eli being a SD fan. In retrospect though, he made the right decision. He made a boatload more money ( endor$ments) than he would have out there. Oh yeah, plus he got that ring. Rivers is great, but he has to win the big one, on the big stage before we put him in Eli’s category. 🙂
anyone have a god tuna recipe? Have some fresh tuna my old man just pulled out of the ocean yesterday…
ha ha ha, that is hilarious Mr P.
i say we do it down and dirty at the billy goat. tho there wouldn’t be anything for AJ to eat cept for potato chips.
Chitown peeps: what’s the best bar near the venue? tufanos? i don’t need to be a snob this time about needing fancy beer. just looking for something in walking distance with a low jerkyboy factor. i’d think this would be possible UIC being a campus and all but who knows. worst case scenario BYOO (bring your own ozium) up to my room cause we wont be far by pub transpo.
is the venue the UIC-Halstead stop on the el? or is Racine better?
also where is the post show grub near the venue? mannys coffee shop? als italian beef?
