TTFF: Tour Bookends
With the Gorge exactly one week away, let’s take the final Friday before tour to review a few seminal jams that have gone down at both the Gorge and leg two’s closing locale, UIC Pavilion. Though some of these tracks have been posted before, they have the type of timeless staying power to warrant hearing again. A five-five split between the Gorge and UIC brings the last week before tour to an end. Enjoy the music…leg two awaits!

@mitch
That’s actually a no go then – I have to head back to the east coast for part II of my August vacation on Thursday morning.
It’s looking increasingly likely that I’m going to fly now anyway, so it’s probably a moot point; just wanted to put it on your radar in the off chance it happens.
Great news Leo! Congrats. Nothing better in the world. Enjoy it.
Congrats Leo! Cheers to all the dads, babies still scare the fuck out of me.
Bob, have you been rocking the two arm cast? Not sure I’ve known anyone with broken bowsbefore
Way to go Leo. You did it!
All good duke. My buddy is playing after parties for the uic run so I’m trying to get in his bands ride.
Babies scare me too. Baby making seems hella fun tho.
Luckily I didn’t need casts or surgeries. Just put em both in slings but I ended up not using the one on the left so I could function.
babies are easy, its the toddlers that are a bitch.
We have a vacation of sorts this week. Left my oldest with her grandparents for the week so she can attend camp with her cousins. Only 2 kids this week. What a difference between 2 and 3. Our zone defense has been exploited on numerous occasion. It’s quite porous as a matter of fact. Nice to get back to the good old man-to-man!
congrats Leo!! enjoy it, man. “they grow up so fast” cliche is absolutely true.
Can’t believe how big my 4 yr old and 2 yr old look next to our newborn.
I’m starting to feel the zone defense pressure, mr. p. Not looking forward to 3 vs 1 after my wife’s maternity leave is up. Yikes.
Plax to the Jets. wtf? Rex likes his thugs. Would have liked to see him re-up with the G-men. He hates Coughlin though. Sanchez will love him Just chuck it and let Plax go up and get it. Safety valve.
^lol
I’m not so sure it’s just babies that scare me, more the thought that babies>toddlers>kids>teenagers>humans.
I have a hard time holding down my own fort sometimes…
Congrats, Leo…
Great news!
Enjoy this trip and live it up…
3 on 1! holy shit Selector! Good luck with that. That’s no joke. Seriously, i’ve had to do it a few days a week when i was in between jobs. hardest gig out there.
Hi Neemor. Word on the street is i’ll see you in the windy city. I hope so.
Spinning Raleigh.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it and will pass the well-wishes on to Mrs. Weaver. It really has kickstarted life a bit…tons to do in the next few months to prepare for the Wee Weaver – this is a house built and maintained for two (and a few small animals). Seems to have really renewed things with me and the lady, which can only be a good thing. And FTR, kids scare the hell outta me too…kinda like getting thrown in the deep end and the swim teacher yells “sink or swim!”
good to see you @neemor…hope life is treating you alright.
One of the more under rated Phish shows out there (except on the Blackboard of course) . I have a really shitty copy but i just grabbed this one and its an improvement. Not pristine, but much better than what i currently own. Was lucky enough to catch this one live. Desert Phish! All -time Antelope! 20 minutes of taking the high gear to your soul….

SHARK WEEK BITCHES!!! the boys are wearing there shark pj’s to bed tonight. any underwater tv puts my boys into a trance, pretty funny because getting an 18 month old to do anyything for more than 1 minute is a very hard thing to do.
Congrats @Leo. My wife (you met her briefly at @willowed’s bbq) and I are in discussions. Translation: she wants to get started this fall. I’m nervous for the future too. Possible big move to Germany next year (c’mon, PHiSH Europe fall 2012) just for added challenge…
@Mr. Palmer, loved that show. Half way through my only full tour and hanging with two of the cutest girls I knew back in hs…hadn’t seen in 5 years. Great times. Too bad I wasn’t single back then. Yes, Antelope for the win that day.
mitch- I finally replied to your Jul. 12 email, lol.
Corey- One of the best versions of Gumbo as well. Even Twist and Ghost, both babies back then ( see what i did there?) were taken for deep rides. If you like the deep improv, long jam Phish, this is a show you must have in your collection imo…
@palmer – second half of that s2 looks like it could Be iffy. Did they blow their load w Antelope or was there goodness in and after the twist>taste?
Load was blown after Twist->Taste. Twist is intense. First time i ever heard the tune. But the highlights earlier make up for it. Honestly, i don’t remember much from the show with the exception of set I and the Antelope. I go back to the highlights though once in a while. They crushed the big boys that night.
