Weekend Nuggets: Leg II Clips
My apologies for the post-tour absence, I have been putting the finishing touches on the book which will be sent off for printing on Monday. Phew. Anyhow, in the meantime, enjoy these clips, and I’ll be back Monday with a look at the Gorge shows

Well, here in the metro Boston area we didn’t have many problems. Some downed trees, but my power was on all day (knock on wood that its still on when I get home). Minor (miner) leaks in the ceiling here at work but we’ve had much worse in other no name storms with heavy rain.

Re:nye. The only time I don’t want a hometown show is this NYE as I’ve already greenlighted a trip to go to the shows and have begun daydreaming about a vacation.
Great news joe. Big win right there. you deserve a little light in your life.
I could use a little more Tahoe Light in my life.
Only one show this calendar year is way too little, though. Sans hiatus years, obviously, this is lowest show going year for me since 93 (no shows, in retrospect probably a mistake)
I only got one in 96 Joe.
I understand
Percentage was way worse back then though. Were they still over 100 shows played back in 1996? Maybe that was when the scaled back a little. I hope I’m not taking for granted that they do a new year’s run.
I’m struggling towards the finish line here tonight and talking to myself on here might be the only way to get to midnight. Sorry
Not heading to the CO shows, but I think with all the sign fervor it would be cool to orchestrate a long sentence thanking the band, maybe 20-30 signs across. No song requests but something along the lines of how much they’ve done for us as a whole. Could see it being organized fairly easily.
“We love you, thank you for the music. Mike – your sleeveless vest is the bomb. Please crush us with jams”
And so on…
hey joe “youuuu cannnn dooo itttt”
crazy videos from VT! I hope everyone stays safe up there!
^that’s a pretty fun idea Andrew
anyone currently reading this board know if it’s still worth it to pursue the King of Thrones books even though I’ve seen the TV shows? I’ve got the first book on hold at the library for tomorrow, but not sure if I should just pick up something else now that we have HBOGO up and running.
pig song
though I haven’t watched the series, I am reading book 1 and say YES! I love the book thus far. Join the BB GoT book club on Facebook as well!
Haven’t read or watched Pig, but I’m always a fan of reading first, watching later. I’m planning on starting the series soon since the kids are back in school. Always felt people who watched LOTR before reading lost a major feel for the tale, it’s all about the personal imaginative travels. Moving pictures flood the brain and replace what you can create on your own.
I’ll pick it up then, a few friends of mine I trust were raving about it at a wedding a few weeks ago.
I googled “BB GoT book club” and a few variances, with no luck. Any chance you have a direct link?
I’m yet another BBer reading Game of Thrones -on ~p50 right now
So how crazed will the NYC commute be tomorrow? I’m dashing into the bad apple to meet a friend -not looking forward to what’s normally a 3hr15min drive. Tonight would’ve been soooo much better but wasn’t possible
Great idea Andrew!
@sumo
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if a good chunk of people phoned in tomorrow, so it may not be too bad.
Having said that, last I heard, 9A (Henry Hudson Parkway) and 87 (NY State Thruway) are closed north of the city. I assume the Merritt is a disaster as well. I would think your best bet for getting into Manhattan is the Triboro/RFK.
Duke, I sure hope people stay home tomorrow. Saw Mill Parkway onto the Henry Hudson is my preferred route to NYC, guess I’ll find out tomorrow
Anybody up?

I’m about to go to bed
But check out the movie “Powwow Highway” sometime.
post-modernism/post-colonialism at it’s best.
I just showed my little brothers The Big Lebowski for the first time… they loved it… Gateway film…
Great. Night.
Cool. Thanks for the rec @Silly, I’ll definitely check it out.
Senior year officially begins in 5 1/2 hours…
