    Good Morning, kids

    hope everyone is doing well.

finally got my LivePhish Flac-HD of UIC 1 to download.

    sounds really good

i think i enjoy the balance of these recordings best. I love hearing each of the band members clearly

I always have visuals of 4 when I listen to Phish and these LivePhish mixes really emphasize that

right on, MrP. i’ve known you’ve had a close connection to the events of that day. peace, bro.

  3. SillyWilly Says:

always thinking of you and yours, Mr. P, when 9/11 enters my thoughts

    glad we’ve got you

peace and healing to all involved.

  4. phoammhead Says:

beautiful day here in the mountains of wnc . . . lots to be thankful for.

bek and i are going out to my folks farm this afternoon and are considering moving there . . . into a farmhouse on 500+ acres.

Hate every aspect of visual phish

Audio stream is all I’d need. I don’t like visual clues to what’s goin on musicaly

Haven’t ever watched one of these released jam fiddled

Will be watching wed cuz the band is fuckin killing it. I like watching jazz or blues cats play but always with phish and GD never.

Wish I was going to vt

  6. phoammhead Says:

    gonna be a farmer! 🙂

This is the grandstand, and then it’s a large dirt (or mud if it rains) pit up to the stage. Actually a great place to see shows because it’s roomy and flat.

  8. Jtran Says:

Saw my first Trey (pre-phish for me) show there in 02. Also my first time seeing various types of accoutrements :).

  9. albert walker Says:

    Am generally against streams though

Leave live music in the live setting for the lucky fuckers in the building

  10. Mr. Palmer Says:

Europe ’72 sounds sick. Lots of listening to do.

    Thanks guys.

  11. Robear Says:

    Peace to you Mr. Palmer!

Lulz to all the ND fans. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Irish have had enough of Denard Robinson!

  12. SillyWilly Says:

My bandwidth sucks in my apartment and I did the webcast for Denver

but on the 2nd and 3rd nights the shows were mostly unlistenable because of buffering

so I’d be down with audio only streaming

kind of like the Sirius thing for superball

great sound and no video to distract.

was the next best thing for not being able to be there.

  13. Robear Says:

@miner, the reason the ‘Tweezer’ video seems so mellow is, it is! Trey barely plays anything, minimalist. He sets at least two repeating loops early on, then just strums in the background.

I was glued to the TV as everyone else in the house was shuffling around.

    Barely seems to go together.

  14. Lycanthropist Says:

i could def dig on some audiostreams..

If they do go to a PPV stream option of whole tours, i think audio would be the best way to go.

I liked the streams when they were for shows that were kind of special events. Would like to keep the video limited to that.

I also agree that the one video release per show is really the coolest use of the video in general.

  15. phoammhead Says:

since dick’s definitively rules out the notion that webcasting affects the music in a negative way, i’m all in for the video streams . . . i’d be down with the option of either an audio or video stream at different price points.

^Immortal Technique. A bit hard for most of folks, but it fits today.

  17. BingosBrother Says:

    “Trey barely plays anything, minimalist.”

Seems to be a great indicator of a lot of great jams lately. When trey gets out the way, everyone gets to play.

  18. BingosBrother Says:

Oh and lolND! The gift that keeps on giving!

  19. joe Says:

I love the video releases from this summer but mostly for the clean audio of the best jams. They really did a nice job selecting which ones to release. I watch a bit, but mostly just minimize the site and listen. Its a great way for a non collector like me to have a best of summer play list

Echoing Mr. P’s sentiments, this is a great storycorps story, and one that I listen to. Really touching, and a reminder to appreciate your family and friends.

  21. phoammhead Says:

part of what makes phish so endearing to me is seeing those 4 goofy looking guys on stage making IT happen = blows my mind!

true enough @joe, even when i do spin the videos, i’m often just listening and not even looking at the video or i look sometimes and at other times i’m just listening.

god, these three phish vimeo videos from dick’s are just crazy good.

  22. Lycanthropist Says:

    two underrated Dicks:

    Light > DWD
    Scents

some great work in both of those jams.

  23. phoammhead Says:

trey finger pickin’ at the end of dick’s tweezer makes that so sublime and beautiful

  24. albert walker Says:

Notre dame is the Kang of colleges

Surprise there fans don’t rock hula hoops

Dicks light DWD shit is fire

I’ve been diving into euro 72 also palmer

  25. Robear Says:
