Slave started during my second bottle of wine on couch tour

I got up on my couch, which looks out our 9th floor window, over 3 of the busiests intersections in Madison (W Johnson towards downtown from Park east. Dr. Pro knows)

That song is like the perfect musical personifcation of traffic on a rainy fall night

  2. Mike in Austin Says:

    Sportsbook.ag

    Parlay $100 on giants -7, 44 over pays $256.90

The over is my concern, not the -7.

What do I know though. Had the over (50) and Eagles -2.5 last night

  3. SillyWilly Says:

    Mr. P

    Damn.

Wish I could come chill, but I got tickets for Kings Go Forth in Madison on the 14th.

I guess I really didn’t need to post this, but I started this post as Great! Ill come down and chill. Then I realized the KGF tix and it felt like I was talking to you instead of typing so I’m just going with it

  4. Mike in Austin Says:

“I use it as a “put up or shut up” to myself. I also find I remember lessons a lot better if I lose a little money from the mistake so it ups my learning curve.”

100% agree. You really pay attention when you have some sweat money on the game. No time to illusion yourself by being a homer.

  5. SillyWilly Says:

Would you rather be poor and a fan or rich and

    …rich?

    Ok, I see your point.

  6. Gavinsdad Says:

    Palmer house > burnham.

    Still bitter.

  7. SillyWilly Says:

    Yeah, that was bad, Gdad.

    They handled that poorly

All the hate for something that isn’t hurting anyone.

  8. DukeOfLizards Says:

    @MiA

I have the under. Best of luck.

  9. Gavinsdad Says:

    Good luck in PA Willsy

  10. Mike in Austin Says:

Duke, I’m getting nervous already. Good luck

  11. Mike in Austin Says:

The only problem with the under is you have to sweat it out until the end. 😉

  12. voopa Says:

    Wow Nicks!

  13. Mr palmer Says:

Too bad KGF isn’t in Chi-town @ silly.

I did see that Odd Future is playing on the 14th. Not really my thing though.

  14. butter Says:

@brother just to take the other side

sure you can make some scrilla on college hoops, but to think you have some sort of edge on a Vegas oversite, some area where you are going to study that they havent, i basically think your dreamin

and as Mr. C said, if you do have that working then you are def working another job

yes, NFL and other major sports are much more, touchable or fixable. with all the commercialization, so i’m not arguing its not a better choice. just calling out that there really no certain way to for sure win

its called gambling, not winning — after all

that being said if you have a kill it system, for real please let me in on it 😉

  15. SillyWilly Says:

    Thanks, Gdad.

can’t wait for this to be all over.

Peace, all, gonna board my plane.

Enjoy the game. Good luck bettors.

  16. SillyWilly Says:

    @Mr. P

I’m sure LW, AW, and AJ have a good feel for what might be playing that weekend

Id recommend heading up north and just grabbing a drink (there’s usually some sort of show going on) at the Green Mill

Cheap way to catch great music in a hip setting. One of my favorite bars in the world (thanks LW)

  17. Mike in Austin Says:

    Wow. These are incompetent offenses.

    Duke, your under looks great.

  18. brother Says:

@butter and c….yeah you have to be a cbball junkie of bilas porportions to really do well, and even then, as you say butter, it is still just a gamble and anything can happen, as i know all to well. and please don’t think i think of anyone who bets on fball as a sucker. bad choice of words.

  19. brother Says:

@joe, on second thought you are absolutely correct. please disregard any gambling advice from me (unless you decide to do the opposite as your system, in which case you will surely lose then as well). i do not recommend any games. the gambling talk on the board made me jumpy. i just took my tranquilizer. i’m better now….ah the colors.

  20. Mr palmer Says:

    This ain’t pretty

  21. Mr.Miner Says:

just spent all day reviewing the proofs of the book. Once the printers input changes and produce one more set of proofs, we should be good to go…and right on schedule…one…more…hurdle…cleared…

…on a side note, I think y’all are gonna really like the book…I even think haters will like it, just to hold and page through and look at…I think its pretty, pretty, pretty entertaining all the way around…

  22. Mr.Miner Says:

not very portable though…kind of like your “home piece”

  23. MrCompletely Says:

    brotherman

anyone except a true sharp who is counting on winning enough on the NFL to make a living or get rich *is* a sucker so no worries there…and the sharps all seem to work pretty damn hard. respect to those guys who make it work but I know that’s way out of my weight class (and, it doesn’t really sound fun)

i bet on NFL and NBA the way I used to play poker…one dinky bet after another just to stay in the game and keep things interesting, and then when i find an angle I like I jump on it as hard as i can (which isn’t very hard, I’m not playing with any serious scrilla here)

I won a long series of little bets in the nba playoffs last year, I was in one of those zoned out gambling rolls and went with it…finally jumped on Dirk for finals MVP once I decided the Mavs were it and (relatively speaking) made bank

i have to keep it simple though. I’m terrible at parlays and teases and all that second level stuff

  24. garretc Says:

    Nice Miner, congrats!

I’ll be glad to add it to my growing collection of coffee table books!

I think I have like, 7 or 8 now, none of which I’ve purchased myself, so that’ll be great someday when I actually have several coffee tables on which to display them…

  25. MrCompletely Says:

    lol @ home piece

does it come with legs that fold out so you can use it as a coffee table? set your actual home piece on it?
