  4. albert walker Says:

yep. Germany just had to pretend they were dragging their feet cuz it’s their tax payers that were on the hook for this shit.

eventually they had to cave. they get the most out of the eurozone arrangement anyway

should help calm the markets a bit if this is true

  5. Mike in Austin Says:

Who has 2 trillion to extend this?

Is it a Leisman rumor (again)?

  9. MrCompletely Says:

yeah the german peeps are pissed. the whole euro thing was sold to them with the line “but you’ll never have to bail out any of those crazy little brown mediterranean countries who don’t know how to keep to a budget”

are they getting more governance out of it? centralized monetary policy? i keep hearing that’s the only longterm solution but of course everyones all weird about it for sovereignty reasons

  11. bob dylan Says:

figured we needed some phish chatter

  12. albert walker Says:

    Yep C

Word is there will laws written into the eurozone so they have to keep certain metrics to stay in.

Originally you were supposed to keep debt at 3% of GDP but it was more a gentlemen’s agreement and everyone just blew through it.

Supposedly France and Germany want to impose you fuck up you’re gone rules going forward.

Being under shared monetary policy but separate fiscal policies is a recipe for disaster. Many people feel to make it work they will have to come more together on the fiscal side too.

  13. albert walker Says:

    cinci tweezer!!!!

  14. bob dylan Says:

i’ve currently got a policy similar to that.

keep phish spending down to eliminate CC debt. but i never follow it.

  15. bob dylan Says:

hometown MSG NYE shows help with that tho.

  16. garretc Says:

    That’s silly, bobbyd…

The proper strategy is to keep all non-Phish spending down to eliminate credit card debt

  17. stapes Says:

ugh. i’m still paying off festi 8 and red rocks.

  18. bob dylan Says:

  25. EL Duderino Says:
