and MGM grand/foxwoods. The largest stand alone casino in the US, I believe. My impression of it is that many of the tribe members (not sure what the “blood amount” is) came out of the woodwork when they were crafting the original casino legislation. Pretty sure there wasn’t an existing reservation on the property of the kind you associate with the plains or southwest.
I think they’ve had economic problems recently when their greedy expansion plans collided with the economic downturn – the same as most non-native casinos in vegas, etc.
and those fuckers have been pretty good to me over time, so I won’t hear of anyone speaking ill of them.
haha
right on, Joe.
federal indian law.

Don’t know if this is talked about, but 7.17.98 weekapaug starting at 5:53 seems to have distinct Whats the Use teases, trey plays it twice in a row. Is the just chance and am I reading too much into it, because it didn’t debut until 1999 and same with the release of the Siket Disk.

One of my toughest workweeks. Back to back actually. New boss, budgets due, shit is real adult. Got super real at Bethel And its stayed real. I’m 42.
But you all uplift me. Stoked to snowboard again this winter. Got my boys up last year and they enjoyed it. One of my fave dad moments.
Just settled in to the Greek Theater lawn for some Paul Simon with my pa.
Stoked on that.
(Makes me wish I’d been here for Phish, natch…)

nice G – would love to be there and want to hear about it
Hey guys, driving by after catching up on some intereting DG talk today. I used to be a baller in NW Ohio back in my early twenties, and had a SLF at the time who was a ringer. We used to take $$$, beers, and buds from guys who would actually give us a handicap for me playin’ with a lady.
FWIW, y’all were talking about extensive equipment, and the below link is for the coolest of cool. There are even DVD’s for training your pooch to caddy…

just the stand alone jams, no songs, no banter, etc. just an hour of jamming.
Yo BB, probably the last post of the night. Haven’t caught up in a few days. Just saw some really decent music off of Beale in Memphis. I’ve been spending a lot of time around these parts, and it’s hard to decide which bar is worth my time.
I don’t think there are any Memphis regulars, but if there are some lurkers hit me up at thepigsong at gmail so I don’t waste a bunch of my time like I did earlier this evening trying to find music.
nice. thanks for the link alf.
whats good bb?
spinnin Fat Man from MSG, creeper highlight
Paul Simon just finished up, pretty great show. Really tight band, great arrangements, plenty of classic cuts, but a few new tunes as well. Definitely a worthwhile night out, although I don’t know if I’ll need to see him again any time soon, can’t imagine they vary too much.
I was worried the sheer amount of musicians on stage would muddle things, but they did a great job of instrument switching, and like I said the arrangements were there too, so
Met the timer a couple times. Came off as a pretentious dick every time I saw him. The perfect kinda person you can make fun of to their face and they have no idea….
The bus came by an we got on.
Humboldt or bust!
I like how the BB time is real time for once.
Is hartswick chowing a baby Ruth in the pic above?
