Mike’s Song” 10.29.96 II, Tallahassee, FL

I often push this “Mike’s” in which the band got in some pre-Atlanta practice, vamping over Remain In Light’s “Houses in Motion” during the song’s second jam.

One of Fall ’97 most exploratory jams comes from one of its least talked about tour stops at Penn State.

  3. kayatosh Says:

no tix for msg; no problem -> just walk in through the gap in the port-o-potty wall or some other secret passage somehow hidden to all others but the BB crew.

  4. DryIceFactory Says:

    @kaya

that same possible “put a ring on it” jam we heard in Dicks KDF also appears in DTE Chalk Dust. Spotted that on the train ride home the other night.

  5. SillyWilly Says:

yeah we can pick it up another time, Mr. C

jermichael finley is the counter to freakish linebackers and physical, fast safeties like Polamalu

    re: Panic crash

    that’s really sad.

not a huge panic fan, but man, that’s going to be tough for that community

  6. Mr. Palmer Says:

Those guys are fucking cursed man. Besides Houser, they have had 2 or 3 other guys in their crew die in the last couple of years. This is going to be the end for them… Ridiculous.

  7. sumodie Says:

    Wow

    With an average of 600 responses/per MSG #phish pre-order denial rate = 12/28 – 72% 12/29 – 76% 12/30 – 81% 12/31 – 83%

denial rates are likely higher -the survey doesn’t account for someone submitting multiple requests

  8. tela'smuff Says:

they’ve lost their lighting guy a few years back, tour manager stabbed and killed last year, now this.

  9. kayatosh Says:

yep. that riff got in trey’s head. the man’s a genius. got 5.29.2011 timber rollin tough over here now. long live phish. heard many a great phish and GD jam today while watchin tape.

  10. SillyWilly Says:

    whoa.

i didn’t know about those other deaths

like i said i never really followed panic

    but that’s really sad

  11. sumodie Says:

MSG pro tip: Get a ticket to the 28th and find a place to hide for the next three nights

  12. SillyWilly Says:

i feel like a fair universe would reward the denial rates with a winter run

    hampton would be really nice.

  13. SillyWilly Says:

“MSG pro tip: Get a ticket to the 28th and find a place to hide for the next three nights”

BB kids will keep your supplies stocked every night.

  14. kayatosh Says:

that’s what you get for calling your band widespread panic.

  15. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

get a concession staff shirt or maybe a janitorial uniform and you are set

  16. butter Says:

    Congrats Oldskool!!!

The only Rule is IT begins 🙂

  17. Kaveh Says:

Final request came in. Another pair of 28th seats.

NO NYE tickets out of the lot.

  18. Jtran Says:

    FS kaveh? 🙂

  19. Jtran Says:

Does 10/5/00 Bowie ever get talked about? Pretty sweet, atypical jam

  20. DaNcInG fOoL Says:

i am going to get 8 NYE tickets on saturday.

    mark it (8).

  21. kayatosh Says:

From palmer’s list of Mike Gordon aliases. I took the ones that sound legit, as in you could give the name to a hotel clerk w/o cracking a shit eating grin, and whittled it down to these gems:

    Bill McBilliard
    Edgar Beation
    Jethro Ricochet
    Teddy Billdozer
    Henry Yourball
    Mark Manboob

    hilarious

6.11.2011 jam out of RnR (columbia jam). yessir. phish is hot.

  22. kenny powers Says:

    @ t3

if your second job is at Julio’s I’ll take a discounted case, thanks. every time i get a grab bag of 12 different singles and assume they will last a couple weeks (i.e. one a night after work), they’re gone within a week. that place is dangerous.

  24. Spasm Waiter Says:

Hey comrades! Had my first child today. Lucca Lowrie Derr was born at 938am today. He and his mom are doing well. Crazy ass shit. Very, very cool. I want to shout it from the mountaintops! Will bein touch. Peace y’all.

  25. Kaveh Says:

@Jtran and others: I have to check with some of my crew now that I have my full report in front of me. But keep on eye on the exchange board….as I am pretty sure I’ll be able to help people out on here for sure. And I’ll be trying on Sat. too. More soon.
