Shipping Balls!

Book Cover (Masthay)

Ever since the books were delivered around noon yesterday, I’ve been shipping my face off and haven’t been able to accomplish anything else. I’ve been workin’ round the clock to get all holiday orders out the door by tomorrow. The only exceptions to these will be international orders—I will have to deal with those separately; I apologize for the delay. Anyhow, look for the book in the mail soon! I’ll see you on the other side!

UPDATE: Any domestic orders placed by the 12/5 holiday deadline have been shipped as of 12/17. The rest of the books will begin shipping Monday. I will be in touch with international orders individually regarding postage. Thanks for your support! Can’t wait ’til you get em! MSG is lurking in the shadows…

MONDAY UPDATE: Any domestic orders places through December 13th have processed and will be shipped out today. The remainder of the domestic orders should be out the door tomorrow, and at the latest, Wednesday. I’ve been too busy packing to type thoughts, but I’m getting excited at this point…9 days…

  4. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

I may be wrong but I think it is from the halloween show they did in denver. I have a very very foggy memory of that happening that night. but it was halloween and you know how that goes…

    aha! it was. found it.

    The Fillmore Auditorium
    Denver, CO

    Encore: Them Changes

Trey wore Fishman’s signature dress, Les wore a pig mask for the first two songs, then a wore a black hat. Stewart’s face was painted

*The Kinks cover (Trey and Les sang one chorus)
**The Police cover (Les sang 1 verse)
    # Trey was very chatty. He played his “musical costume” and sang lyrics to several Jon Fishman classics including “Love You,” “Bike,” and “Cracklin’ Rosie.” Trey then mentioned that “you too can own the entire Jon Fishman catalogue for only $19.95!” Trey then introduced Les as “someone who really sucks” and introduced Stewart and said “When I was 15 my biggest dream was to be in a band with Stewart Copeland. He was my cream dream. Stewart ‘The guy who has sold way more recordings than Les or I’ Copeland.”
##Trey quotes much of “Stash” in jam, ends with Les singing last line of “God Bless America”

Show had a very special vibe to it. The band was visibly animated and festive. Total running time approx. 1:58

Damn, Id love to see Oysterhead again.

  7. Gavinsdad Says:

I’ve only road the rail for Phish once at PNC and then at the Roseland for Oysterhead. That was a sick show but I can’t say I loved that album

  8. Mr. Palmer Says:

Saw Oysterhead 3 or 4 times ( was at that Roseland show also). Always kind of meh for me . Had fun and all, but there was something missing. Not a huge Les Claypool fan. Talented musician, not into the schtick.

  9. Guyute711 Says:

I had a great time at the Utica show. They appealed to my metal roots. After the show I was thinking, well Phish is done.

  10. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

I saw those two at the fillmore in denver. had a blast and loved it for what it was but wouldn’t be out on tour with them. I’d definitely spend another night with OH if it ever came around again.

  11. Guyute711 Says:

They would have had to do a lot more writing to make it worth traveling around.

  12. Jtran Says:

    Morning comrades

Gonna spin this 12/9 Mike show (with 18 Sugar Shacks in the first set) and see if it sounds as nice as the setlist looks.

  13. Kaveh Says:

Morning BBers. It’s Friday…let’s party down.

  14. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

whoa. that’s a crazy looking setlist, jtran. lemme know how it goes.

  15. sumodie Says:

Hello, Miner’s Best of Leg II picks!

spent last night practicing some random hand waving dance moves for MSG

so ready to get theremin’d again

  16. Mr. Palmer Says:

If they bust out the cover “Willie and the Hand Jive” at MSG then you know that the boys read the site… “Do that crazy hand jive”

  17. Jtran Says:

    @t3 there’s also a 20 min suskind hotel in set 2

  18. calpain Says:

    Glorious friday to all!

    Way to go Miner!

As a claypool fan I viewed the formation of oysterhead as something really great…however the album is very dark and found it took multiple listens to appreciate it.

So I can see how most people don’t dig it.

To be honest its probably les’ singing that turns most people off

  19. albert walker Says:

Is shipping balls a reference to tripping balls?

    Shit cracked me up

    Congrats miner
    See ya in NYC
    Theremin bitches!

  20. willowed Says:

I didn’t even put that together. Man I am slow today.

    Thanks AW

    Shipping Balls….Tripping Balls.

    That shit’s funny.

  21. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

(to be recited in full movie trailer guy voiceover mode)

This new year’s eve, the PHiSH from Vermont will melt faces with the aural assault soon to be known as…

    The Theremin Throng(tm) (patent pending)

    four world class musicians
    four theremins
    eight arms waving randomly
thousands of heads exploded by the sheer awesome of it all

  22. halcyon Says:
