RECENT MR. MINER INTERVIEWS:

Hidden Track

As I’ve been busy shipping book and not updating the site, a couple different interviews I did have posted to the web. First, I took part in Hidden Track’s Writer’s Workshop— a broad and in depth interview with Ryan Dembinsky about my blog, writing philosophy, my book and Phish.

Additionally, I did a Q & A with Charlie Dirksen of Phish.net that was specifically focused on Phish Thoughts—The Book. (With a brief aside about Trey’s “Taste” tease in 7.17.’98’s “Weekapaug” jam.) Check ’em out!

BOOK SHIPPING UPDATE: All domestic orders have processed and will be shipped as of today! I am going to begin figuring out the international ones—hang tight! You can be sure now, if you order a book now, that it will ship the same day or the following day at the latest. Thanks for your support and I, sincerely, hope everyone who ordered a book enjoys it during the holiday season and beyond!

with Mike teasing Scents to round it out. I feel like it was seen as throw away version which it is not

  2. Wilson123 Says:

Phish phast is killing me, PB.

Probably breaking it with the Real Gin today, at least I tried 🙂

  3. Phamily Berzerker Says:

Yeah, Wilson, that Real Gin is the biz.

I am holding to the phast to just because I want the freshness of new phish not to jaundiced by some lingering sentiment for a phish of old not matter the magnitude of goodness.

The conscious human mind can only hold one thought at a time, make it a positive one.

  4. YborCity Says:

I don’t know how many of you ever check Reddit’s /r/phish subreddit, but I just saw this posted there and thought you’d all appreciate this. I know it brightened the fuck out of my morning.

Internet lols are satisfying as fuck when you haven’t slept in 36 hours. I’m delusional as fuck right now.

That’s two “_____ as fuck” in one post. Mark it 8, dude.

I hope on being able to buy a book at the signing. figured it would have fun to have around the hotel to browse post show during the run.

going to have to revisit the SBIX Tweezer remember live how amazing the growl of the start stop section but after that it seems like Mike and Trey kinda battled back and force for direction and it never really found one. one of those didn’t hold up as much as I dug it live on respins. going to give it a spin after work.

that 12/29/09 tweezer caspian though still gives me chills

the first moment of 3.0 and maybe my 15th show in that’s when I realized there were some fresh tones and grooves that Trey still had in em. just had to be patient. holds up to any era IMO. just such a great patient groovin melodic tweezer. that melodic ambience breakdown towards the end is so $$$$$.

and the caspian guitar solo makes for such a killer landing pad. killer caspian.

    have a good one kids
    MSG Phish!
    Long live the theremin

  8. Phuzzy Says:

    RE: What is the ball?

I think it is a picture of the NYE ball in Times Square, maybe?

  9. Phuzzy Says:

And, yes, if you hover over it, it says “New Years Ball”

  10. Beaten Worker Says:

Ya i guess that makes sense. The (!?) threw me off.

  11. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

morning everyone. man, the 49ers helped us out last night big time.

How about today being the 9th anny of the livephish series?? Look at this quote by John Paluska saying that there would be “no way’ they would start releasing every show.

Paluska says. “It was a bold thing and probably the inspiration for getting us going with the Live Phish stuff. But it’s a bulky thing to release all your shows

  15. Guyute711 Says:

I’m sorry but if the whole point is to make the thing energy efficient I don’t think they do a good enough job. Throw some glow sticks on the thing for all the part time partiers. I’m here all year rookies!!!!

  16. Ghostdog Says:

Such a sick holiday run in 95…

I know it doesn’t get much love but 12.27 last year was good. -7>WTU was hot. I remember it was pretty blizzardy out that night, bringing cool it down, ice, mound, -7…

  17. Ghostdog Says:

Pardon my ignorance but could somebody educate me on the “noid”

  18. Chuck sweD Says:

i found the pitchfork top 50 to be almost entirely disappointing… several notable exclusions, and many “who the fuck thought this was good?” moments. i suppose you just cant trust those devilish hipsters…

i found the “best of” lists that aj and others put out the other day, collectively, was far superior

  19. Mr. Palmer Says:

    ghost dog- demonoid.. torrent site.

  20. Mr. Palmer Says:

1k richer this morning as I won my fantasy football league. yay!

  21. Kaveh Says:

Nice Palmer….drinks are on you then in NYC! 🙂

  22. Mr. Palmer Says:

    For you Kaveh, definitely.

  23. bouncin fan Says:

Pitchfork has Wheelchair Jimmy – Take Care as number 8

Seun Kuti and the Egypt 80 – From Africa with Fury: Rise
CHarles Bradley – No Time for Dreaming

    not on list

the fact that people read this shit (I did too, so I’m an asshole also) and perpetuate this nonsense is hilarious

either I’m the least hip cat on the planet or wheelchair jimmy fuckin sucks

and I loved him on Degrasi Jr High.

  24. ThePigSong Says:
