RECENT MR. MINER INTERVIEWS:
As I’ve been busy shipping book and not updating the site, a couple different interviews I did have posted to the web. First, I took part in Hidden Track’s Writer’s Workshop— a broad and in depth interview with Ryan Dembinsky about my blog, writing philosophy, my book and Phish.
Additionally, I did a Q & A with Charlie Dirksen of Phish.net that was specifically focused on Phish Thoughts—The Book. (With a brief aside about Trey’s “Taste” tease in 7.17.’98’s “Weekapaug” jam.) Check ’em out!

BOOK SHIPPING UPDATE: All domestic orders have processed and will be shipped as of today! I am going to begin figuring out the international ones—hang tight! You can be sure now, if you order a book now, that it will ship the same day or the following day at the latest. Thanks for your support and I, sincerely, hope everyone who ordered a book enjoys it during the holiday season and beyond!

Charlie Parker – Complete Savoy & Dial Sessions
http://rappamelo.com/2011/12/charlie-parker-complete-savoy-dial-sessions/
In his brief career, Charlie Parker transformed jazz, spontaneously extending the harmonic and rhythmic range of the music in his fluent improvisations. Only Louis Armstrong and John Coltrane have had as dramatic an influence on other musicians. Broadly considered as one of the greatest saxophonists of all time, he was crucial in the development of the bebop movement. Many of his compositions have become standards including “Billie’s Bounce”, “Ornithology” and “Confirmation”. Two of his albums, Jazz at Massey Hall and Charlie Parker with Strings, have received the Grammy Hall of Fame award.
His playing was highly acclaimed during his lifetime although his many performances were, from time to time, hampered by his growing addictions – primarily to alcohol and heroin. His prodigious output of albums belies that fact that he died aged only 34, from pneumonia and a bleeding ulcer.

whaddaauppp, ffflufffheads!!!!!
100 on green bay -13.5.
Common defense!
Woot!
@AJ the music you’ve dropped over the last few days is money. Thanks from all of us! First time I’ve checked in since heading from inlaws to more inlaws… Here until Wed, then I hop an early morning flight on the 29th into the city.
I am starting to see the Light at the end of the tunnel…
Moosed by the Green Bay defense. I can feel it.
Hope everyone enjoyed their day today!
I am sore as shit from a big hike yesterday with the family and day one of the P90X.
Yoga is gonna be rough tomorrow!
Cannot wait to see you folks in the Big Apple.
Mom and Pops Hooked Mrs/ B and I with tickets to the Xmas show at RCMH on the afternoon of the 28th.
walked by MSG yesterday
got all tingly with excitement; I’m ready for IT
time with the fam in nyc has been sweet
hope y’all have had a great day!
Oh. My. God. Thank you.
Merry Christmas to all!
Sitting fireside with booze in hand and Wednesday on the brain.
I hope everyone has a great MSG experience.
-Aquaman-
Merry Christmas to all!
Leaving Williamsburg today!!!! Pretty sure this will be my last visit here, or at least until a far less pleasant one. I think I made it as good as possible. In laws aren’t going to even attempt to come to have breakfast, good stuff. They have complained for 5 years that we dont come and then we do they act like it is a pain in the ass that we are here. oh well, less learned! Off to my mom’s house where we will likely be greeted by freshly chilled champagne, chopped fruit and good cheeses and lots of genuine affection. And then….
M to the muthafukin SG!
work is unbearable with the shows so close. wonder what its gonna be like on the 28th and 29th… w00k flu looming.
AJ, go <3 your own city. 8)
(saw that on a tshirt)
wait, did you mean williamsburg, VA? nvm then
yeah, VA.
EM
ESS
GEE
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The presents are opened.
The fam is wonderful.
The prerolls are ready.
Wednesday can not get here soon enough.
Hitting the road, get me the fuck out of the south!
I hear ya, AJ.
I have that similar reaction every time I’m below the mason Dixon line for an extended period of time. Weather in NYC is beautiful for this time of year in the mid-40s. Off to wonder around the MET with the fam.
I was thinking this morning about whether there was anything I particularly wanted to hear
And apart from some new improv, I realized that I’m still completed sated from UIC. I can’t remember the last time I had fewer expectations or a calmer feeling heading into a run of shows
MSG feels like bonus, and I’m looking just as forward to seeing a lot of you guys, and celebrating with the band in the greatest venue around as anything exclusively musical
Finally: AJ’s anti Xmas ranting comes to an end. Glad u made it out alive. Let’s just hope MSG is a balm for your southern chafing.
Xmas was nice over here with a gnarly little scrap between my daughter and I (wait til she’s 5 AJ) but overall a pleasant day. More time with my parents today…trying not to rush Thursday actually…want to be somewhat present on my time off before I escape into my private place (Phish, Phish kids, MSG, cannabanoid excess)
Safe travels all. Enjoy the city if youre there already.
Totally with you dr p. work is in the way for me still. I think the no travel anticipation is helping. Kinds Nice to ease into it. hometown shows can’t be beat.
