If Golf talk fails, move on to Gun talk, If that fails, then proceed top right-wing political speak and/or fundamental christianity.

    Or live by my axiom:

If you cannot say something nice, say something surreal.

  2. mike in austin Says:

“You should get some golf in” is polite talk … like someone saying in Chicago “You should have gone down to the Miracle Mile. It’s really nice shopping.”

  3. HarryHood Says:

    @ Dude

It’s better than Casey Kasem. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been called that over the years…….

  4. El Duderino Says:

    it’s the Magnificent Mile

  5. mike in austin Says:

There are only two things I hate in this world. Those people intolerant of other people’s cultures and the Dutch.

  6. mike in austin Says:

    Not magnificent to me.

  7. halcyon Says:

Ahhh good thursday. Coffee in hand, sun is shining, and selector is on.

I could be in Scottsdale right now. Kick it with the phamily B and some warm weather. I love winter, hope to ski next week, but am ready for spring/summer.

  8. El Duderino Says:

or Mag Mile if you’re into the brevity thing. one of the greatest streets in a city in the world

  9. mike in austin Says:

But you’re right Dude. My bad.

  10. mike in austin Says:

Once you have a 4 story Pottery Barn next to a 4 story Crate and Barrel across from a two story Apple store, how can it get any better?

  11. Phamily Berzerker Says:

DIF, what happened to you while you were here? You sound upset that your friends exposed to what they deal with daily. Did they change into what you experienced?

I take no offense to your expression as it was your experience. That said, everyplace you go has its some good point, some bad points. your expression seems myopic to me.

AZ has the problem of attracting d-bags from elsewhere who still hold their allegiances and attitudes nostalgic of their hometowns. You can relocate a d-bag, they they still remain d-bag. Truth.

  12. El Duderino Says:

I mean it’s not I-87 north of Albany, NY. but for a major City… Beautiful!

  13. thedayman Says:

    holy fee!

  14. Type III Jamming Personality Disorder Says:

wherever you go, there you are

  15. halcyon Says:

Arizona is like an onion (for lack of a better expression)….need to peel off some of the D-Bag layers to find the good stuff.

  16. phoammhead Says:

dayum HH, that is not good re the move . . . what are a bunch of us wooks going to do when we want to know when it’s going down, huh?

  17. bhizzle Says:

what’s wrong with the Dutch? Their wooden shoes?

“I mean it’s not I-87 north of Albany, NY” – huh?

  18. HarryHood Says:

Hey Hey Hey!!!! What’s wrong with cities off of I-87 North of Albany!!??

  19. El Duderino Says:

@bhizzle if you’ve ever driven I-87 north… north of Albany on the way to Lake Placid you’d know what I’m talkin’ about, + it is America’s most scenic highway

  20. HarryHood Says:

    @ Phoam

I’ll still be in the same building so my finger will remain near the pulse, but I’m worried that my desk location with prevent me from being as active on here as i am now……

  21. HarryHood Says:

    @ El Dude

Just don’t expect to be able to use your cell phone! No 3G service (or cell coverage at all for that matter) between Albany and Plattsburgh!

  22. halcyon Says:

As someone who lived in Albany for 5 years, I too ask “What’s wrong with cities off of I-87 North of Albany? Besides no jobs, there are the AG’s, Rudy’s and other fine varieties to be found.

  23. HarryHood Says:

Wha…. What? You are bre-ak-ing up…… Sorry hun, I can’t hear you…….. Bummer….. Well, guess I’m gonna just have to listen to music in peace for 2 hours ;)

  24. El Duderino Says:

    @ Halcy ????

Not criticizing, applauding. was always a highlight on the way up and back down. Amazing

  25. halcyon Says:

I miss upstate NY so much. Thinking about sending some resumes back there to test the waters so to say.
