Five More From Summer ’95
Let’ start the week off with another dip into the primordial psychedelia of Summer ’95—the band’s most experimental tour ever.
***
“Mike’s Song” 6.20 II, Cuyahoga Falls, OH
This menacing version descended upon Blossom, leaving many wide-eyed fans wondering what had just happened.

“Tweezer > Gumbo” 6.28 II, Wantagh, NY
Another multi-faceted and experimental monster, featuring “Dave’s Energy Guide” and a jam on The Breeder’s “Cannonball,” from the first night at Jones Beach.

Oh stop you guys, you’re too kind… It was just a standard-issue penis joke, after all.
That was like the First Tube Prance of my jokes. A crowd pleaser, to be certain, but just not on the same level of creativity and nuance where the rest of ’em operate…
we are 3.0 joke noobs is all. 😉
Tons of jamming!! Check it. Dark Star>Blues for Allah>Dark Star.

See Palmer, now THAT is a joke worthy of the highest praise!
Just be glad you weren’t around for my 2.0 jokes, they tended to be long and were often nonsensical, but if you waited around there were pretty good punchlines every now and again…
But sometimes I’d drool on myself while I told ’em, and that can be a deal breaker for some folks
So, operation “get into sports” is not going well. I mean, I dig watching basketball, but apparently no one cares about NBA basketball. All the sports dudes in my office couldnt care less (but they seem to care about college basketball) and the whole linsanity thing is not my thing. Oh well. I’m giving it a season and if I still feel like an outsider I’m done. The whole point of getting into a sport was so that I could have those lcd conversations with people and appear to be semi-normal. fail.
Haha, oh well AJ…
You could be a soccer fan, and then people wouldn’t just not care, but also actively make fun of you when you tried to talk about it!
I’d talk to you about it though…
What’s the big Chicago area college team? Illinois, Depaul, NorthWesterm?
repost of tela’s link to this interview. very interesting

I would too aj. Join the cool club.
Speaking of which..ive got the usa game dvring gc, no spoilers tomorrow afternoon plz?
the NBA is still hip AJ you just need to hang out with richer peeps
the rich north shore cats at my work all still love their Bulls.
the strike season ball though this year has kinda been shitty so it’s def a down year in general for the NBA.
Cubs starting though. spring season just started!
I think you may be an NHL kinda guy AJ. go Hawks!
You too willowed (if youre out there)
this wook graduated from DePaul!
go BlueDemons
we’ve sucked since the 80’s I think
@aj – It seems that Sacto has retained the Kings, which is a great thing for our local economy and fans like me…the deal includes a long overdue arena replacement, which means better shows here, so I’m all for that too.
Outside of Linsanity, this season has been ho-hum for sure, but all pro sports go up and down, with the exception of the NFL, and only because they really seem to have their shit together now (Raiders and LA problems notwithstanding, but those will solved soon too).
Thanks, guys. Wow, show of support!
Gonna try to go to a game this year, but may have to hit it solo. Would like to catch D Rose in person.
bulls bandwagon will be huge come playoff time. as a hoop fan, I’m already looking forward to an epic bulls/heat series.
I’ll get tix from my boss AJ
I’ll send you a few dates. he has nice club level seats. he’ll kick em down against a shitty team.
that interview really hammers home the different mind set between artist/performer and obsessive fan.
why the fuck would you want to get into sports @ aj?
oh, right, the whole semi-normal thing.
@Jtran
You got it, no spoilers from me.
I’m more excited to watch the France-Germany game anyways… Haha.
I know I should hate Franck Ribery because a)He plays for Bayern, and b) he plays pretty dirty, but damn if he doesn’t have some smooth footwork!
pitchers and catchers
and damn my cubs are looking shitty. love it.
Americans digging soccer is just wrong. fuck these Europeans and their fuckin eurozone.
I can pick out any American soccer fan just by looking at them
line up 20 Americans 10 of which dig soccer I will point 9 out of 10 of em. FACT.
Lol aw. There’s definitely a “type”
thats funny
