Still remember summer 97 all 3 of my crews shoes had to ride in the trunk they were so funky

  2. Mr. Palmer Says:

I had faith in you Alf. I had my money on AJ or Sumo though… damn!

  3. willowed Says:

I rock my lax warm up jersey with my lax shorts and my Maui Jims and my reef flips yo.

Every one and a while a throw on my madris shorts for the ladies

I roll to shows with laxitude.

Who’s the prep school hippie now biotch.

    I,m kidding

  4. snowbank Says:

I should say, when I would wear shoes. There was one summer that I rarely wore shoes so my feet got calluses.
I never went on tour though. I mostly drove around the Iowa countryside looking for places to drink and smoke. I miss that about western washington. we could drive for hours in country, randomly turning and then head in a direction and run into the interstate. Can’t do that hear. Too many cities and mountains and oceans.

  5. Mr. Palmer Says:

Bring your stick willowed, we can play catch in the lot.

  6. butter Says:

i’m doing all of the tour that isn’t announced yet

  7. snowbank Says:

    With the imaginary orchestra Butter?

  8. Guyute711 Says:

I don’t wear birks to shows anymore, you can’t hide pipes in them.

  9. tela'smuff Says:

i had a pair of Element pants, green, with a blue strip down the side. wore those with vans, and some kind of funky thrift store shirt. wore those pants to every show, then cut them into shorts, and continued the tradition. tried them on when the boys came back in ’09 and i couldn’t get them past my balls. i’m a fat ass.

  10. Mike in Austin Says:

Wear your freak flag on the inside as been me for a long time. I’ve met all kinds of crazy fun characters that think different but look “normal”

If you’re broadcasting who you want people to think you are based on the clothes that you wear, then I think you’re doing it wrong.

    Just be.

I always found it funny that a lot of people are worried about being judged by others at a Phish show, but this is supposed to be a group of non-judgemental people. Seemed like a weird dichotomy to worry about.

  11. willowed Says:

In 2004 I wore my high school wrestling unitard to all my shows
    Coke is a helluva drug

  12. Mike in Austin Says:

    Willow was tarded.

  13. alf Says:

my money woulda been on sumo had you not mentioned it mr p 😉

  14. Albert walker Says:

The banana nug without the lettering in the back was my go to Palmer

Funny they still sell a new school version

  15. Guyute711 Says:

Time to get a new fuct t for tour.

  16. snowbank Says:

LLFA @Willowed. No sir, you are a helluva man.

  17. joe Says:

the only time I wore birks was at Coventry when I lost my other electric blue plastic flip-floppy, shower shoe things my first step into the mud inside the concert grounds. They were freebies from work and my buddy was killing me about how ugly they were the 3 days in traffic before hand. Found the crusty muddy birks by the trash that someone had abandoned and rocked them for the show. about 5 sizes too big. luckily we hitched a ride from a kind person who had worked the beer stand for the 2 miles back to our camper as I had already ditched the birks and was barefoot by then.

(side note: same buddy who killed me for that footwear has those stupid foot glove things and wore them to a show at SPAC. almost had to fight someone who took particular offense to his shoe choice.)

  18. tela'smuff Says:

can we get a Chelsea roll call?

  19. [Not Tom] Says:

    Leg II dates please!

  20. snowbank Says:

MIA- it’s funny because when people are all freaked out now, I judge them for trying to hard or just being stupid when I used to think that it was cool. I’m not sure who it is that isn’t judging. I think the bottom line is that we all connect on some level around the music but pretty much stick to those that have similar taste.

  21. [Not Tom] Says:

So AC is a festival, huh? Capacity of 70K – what’s the area like around the venue – will there be camping or is this simply a hotel and lot situation?

  22. phoammhead Says:

gotta give bb and peeps around here credit for knowing tour bit by bit, piece by piece and ultimately entire run before dates officially dropped – BB FTW!

  23. garretc Says:

I’m confused by how many people are worried about Worcester being struck w/ warm up show syndrome. Shall we consider the runs/shows that have opened recent tours?

    Summer ’09 Leg 1: Fenway
Summer ’09 Leg 2: Red Rocks
    Fall ’09: Cobo Arena, Detroit
Summer ’10 Leg 1: Toyota Park
    Summer ’10 Leg 2: Greek
Fall ’10: Broomfield (No, ACL doesn’t count, dummy)
    Summer ’11 Leg 1: Bethel
    Summer ’11 Leg 2: Gorge

So that’s what, 1/8 of those that aren’t at least above average for the tour, if not top-notch?

But go ahead and keep fretting about the Woostah warm up

  24. phoammhead Says:

chelsea inn & pub …… check

  25. garretc Says:
